A Hypocrite’s Blog Post

I’m such a hypocrite when it comes to blogging.

I think I’ve said I was going to start blogging on a regular basis about … oh … 800 million times. Then what happens? I don’t blog for 18 days. I even sat in on a blog Q&A and that STILL didn’t ignite my fire.

I know what my issues is. I’m hoping to change up the design of my blog (which I can’t afford right now) and possibly changing my blog name. So, instead of continuing to write while I figure that out, I just stopped. WRONG MOVE, JESSIE!

So, as I sit at my apartment alone on a Friday night (I’m quite possibly the most boring 25-year-old ever) I decided to start it all up again. There’s no time like the present, right?

What’s another hypocritical thing I’ve been doing lately (besides wearing leggings as pants – Gina, don’t kill me)? G-dang selfies. What am I, 15? Yuck. In my defense, I got some cute new clothes (thanks to my mom – not me, I’m poor) and I want to show people. Still, hypocritical since I’m pretty sure I judge other people that take selfies. Whoops.

Case in point:

CoffeeI’ve also been introduced to coffee (read: mochas). Enter –> crazy ass hyper Jessie

SPDSt. Patrick’s Day outfit. Boots, skinny jeans, multi-colored tank top, black cardigan, scarf and sparkly phone 😉

Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day (which was forever ago but I forgot to blog about it) I had a GREAT time. Too much alcohol, but that’s allowed on that holiday.

Since SPD was on a Saturday, I went and spent some time with Gina and her BF in the suburbs to start out … but we started big.

DrankThis means it’s zero calories, right?

The rest of the night we spent downtown at friend’s apartments and out at the bars. Lets just say I didn’t get back to my apartment until 4:30 a.m. Success!

Last weekend two of my favorites came to Milwaukee to hang out. We went to dinner at Water Street Brewery and then out on Water St. Lots of fun times!

Friends

There’s been a lot of this … (Panera Avocado Cobb Salad)

PaneraAnd a lot of work/hoping the weather warms up …

WorkIt was FINALLY nice out today so I basically walked all over the city and ran a bunch of errands. I did laundry this morning, had Starbucks (twice) and did a little couch shopping. I may go back tomorrow and see if I can get a good deal on a loveseat (which is all that will fit in my place).

Milwaukee

Biggest reason I moved downtown? Days like today when it was warm enough that I could walk around downtown and run my errands!

Ollie

Oliver being cute (read: just got finished eating one of my bras – THANKS A LOT)

And FINALLY …

AmyYay!!! One of my best friends in the entire world is coming to visit in TWO WEEKS!  I don’t think I could be more excited to see her.

So that’s what I’ve been up to in between working and looking for a second job. Tomorrow I’m planning on working out, possibly looking at couches again and maybe another walk but this time by the lake. It’s supposed to be around 50 tomorrow. That’s like a million degrees in Wisconsin in March. 🙂 Then off to Green Bay on Sunday for Easter with my family.

Also, I’m about 5 lbs. away from one of my goals! I told myself about a year ago when I got to this specific weight I’d let myself get my second tattoo! Mind you, if I’m still as broke as I am now, it’ll have to be put on hold. Still, I’m about 15 lbs. away from my final goal weight!

Happy Friday!
