Ireland, here I come!

I’m excited to link up with Becky again for a Treat Yourself Tuesday, though I’m pretty sure a lot of these “treats” are just plain old luck. Either way, I wasn’t kidding when I posted about last week was one of the best weeks ever. Here are some of my treats. (I saved the best for last so scroll to the bottom if you’re impatient like me and can’t wait for anything.)

Let’s start with early last week. I got a wonderful package with some “leather-looking” leggings. I LOVE THEM. First of all, they smooth out all imperfections which I’m all about. I wore them with heels and a pretty (long) blouse and loved the outfit. I did buy them a size bigger than normal, and I like that they’re a little extra roomy for leggings. Don’t mind the awkward photo … it’s all I’ve got.

IMG_5387Saturday morning I had an event for work and then got ready to go to a hockey game with one of my friends. We ended up winning something like 12-0, which was insane! I’m really loving hockey lately. We went to dinner and out for a few drinks afterwards (no pics –> whoops), so it was a fun Saturday night!

Sunday consisted of doing a MAJOR cleaning of my apartment and then going to watch the Packers absolutely destroy the Bears (Sorry, Becky!) at Lambeau with my mom. God, I love that place. This “treat” was from my mom – thanks, mom!

I took Monday off of work after six straight weeks on of events and working and it was soooooo nice, but went by sooooooo fast. I hung around all morning, went to lunch at HuHot (a cool Mongolian grill type thing) and went shopping. I finally found a pair of boots at Kohls (link here) that I got on super sale that I’ve been looking for forever, too.

IMG_5424Oh, and I finally got my new iPhone 6!!! Isn’t she lovely? (Insert song lyrics here) It’s huge, but I’ll get used to it. I bought a sparkly case to go with it, because duh – safety and sparkles? Yes, please.

And finally, my big “lucky treat” that I found out about early last week. I’ve made you all wait long enough … If you don’t follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instgram (WHY DON’T YOU??), you may not know yet, but …

I won airline tickets to Ireland! If you haven’t been around the blog very long, you may not know my obsession with Ireland. I’ve wanted to go there my ENTIRE LIFE. I’ve even blogged randomly about it multiple times.

I still don’t know what all of this means yet. All I know is I didn’t believe it for the first 48 hours and kept calling the Embassy of Ireland to make sure they weren’t some sort of crazy awesome hacker that just wanted all of my information. Turns out, they’re not and it’s all true. So now I’m waiting to decide when to take the trip (probably either May or September 2015) and I’m taking my dad, who is the reason I’ve always been obsessed with the country. So, if any of you have been to Ireland, HELP A GIRL OUT. The planner in me is having a heart attack.

Oh, and one more thing since I just want this post to be 100-years long. Today is the last day to enter the giveaway I’m a part of. Go check it out!

Have you ever been to Irealnd? If so, what should I make sure I do on my trip?

Have you ever won a contest and not believed them? I seriously thought it was too good to be true.

Thank you!! I’m so excited. And the leggings are amazing. Look great and make me feel super confident – the best kind of clothing. 😉 Plus, they were only like $10!

You should try!! I’ve been signed up to get flight updates for years for plane tickets to Ireland, but have always put it off because I’m broke.

AHHHH SO excited for you, I feel like you should celebrate with a Guinness 🙂 I know you have been wanting to go for forever, and how cool that the tickets are FREE! So awesome. I’ve been to Ireland and loved every second of it!

I had a friend who studied abroad in Ireland, while I was in Spain. I went and visited. It was amaaaaazing.

I mostly remember spending a lot of time drinking tea, exploring the country side, and chilling in her dorm. But you’ll have a blast. Irish people are maybe the most friendly ever.

    Congrats! What an amazing win!
