Just Jessie from A to Z

I saw this post recently on Unlocking Kiki and I thought it might be fun to do since I have a few more readers coming through and checking me out! Plus, let’s be honest – I’m a MySpace baby, so I love these surveys!

A. Attached or Single?
… Attached! And I’m still having a hard time saying that and getting used to it. I’m so used to being single! But hey, hopefully it’s worth it, right? No pics, (I should probably ask him first before putting his good lookin’ face up on my blog) but he did get me cotton candy on my birthday so … he’s a good one.  Edited: Less than 24 hours after I wrote up this blog post, the boyfriend decided he didn’t want to be my boyfriend anymore. At least the cotton candy was good?

B. Best friend?
I have a couple of ladies I would consider best friends. Unfortunately none of them are near me in location, but I love them all to pieces. Now if I could only get one of them to move up by me so I wasn’t so lonely!

C. Cake or pie?
Um, neither? How about cake-flavored things? Like cake-flavored frozen yogurt. Yes. I pick that.

D. Day of choice?
Probably Saturdays. I get to sleep in (usually) and I don’t have to worry about going to work the next day. There’s so many possibilities with a Saturday!

E. Essential item?
My phone. I honestly have it on me at all times and I feel lost when I don’t. It’s a bad habit, I know!

F. Favorite color?
Red. I love wearing red, having red things (my entire kitchen is red appliances and dishes) and I just love it.

PicMonkey Collage

Recycled photo from Valentine’s Day, but I just love wearing red!

G. Gummy bears or worms?
Sour gummy worms. I haven’t had them in f-o-r-e-v-e-r, but that and riesens used to be my movie candies of choice. Makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it!

H. Home town?
Tinnnnny little town called Crivitz, Wis. Less than 1,000 people. Lots of people have cabins there. We call you shackers because your “cabins” and “shacks” are usually bigger than our houses. Just sayin’.

I. Favorite indulgence?
Shellac manicures. I lovvvvve them, but I’m too poor for them right now.

J. January or July?
THIS IS TOO HARD! My birthday is in January, but it’s bitter cold in Wisconsin. July is my favorite month. So… I say, I’m not choosing.

K. Kids?
No, don’t have any kids. I have a hard enough time keeping myself and a cat alive at the moment.

L. Life isn’t complete without?
Puppies, friends, and the Green Bay Packers (what?!)

M. Memory you cherish
Ummmmmm … this is a tough one. I cherish a lot of memories. This might seem weird, but probably my memories with my dog Sadie. I trained her and showed her for a few years before she died (way too young) due to multiple health issues. I loved that dog. She’s the reason I have serious golden retriever fever.

N. Number of brothers/sisters?
One younger sister. She’s 21, which blows my mind.

O. Oranges or apples?
Apples. I don’t like oranges, but I do like orange juice!

P. Pet peeves?
Lying. I mean, everyone has little white lies, but when people lie for absolutely no reason it drives me nuts. Just tell me the truth, dammit! Plus, if you lie to me, I’m probably never going to trust you again so … take that into consideration.

Oh, I also don’t like it when people only talk about themselves and don’t care to ask about you. I’m one of those people that is too nice and loves listening what people have to say, but then no one has time to listen to me.

Q. Quotes?
I’m a big lover of quotes (I have them all over my walls at home and in my office), but my all-time favorite quote is, “Though she be but little, she is fierce.” Something I need to remind myself of from time to time. Or just look down at my ribs (most painful tattoo EVER).

Don’t mind the lines on my skin – I decided it would be smart to take this picture right after I took all the tape and gauze stuff off after I got it done so it looks like I have crazy stretch marks or something (which I do have – just not on my ribs.)

R. Reasons to smile?
So many! I’m alive (always a good one), I’m pretty healthy, I have good friends, a good job, good boyfriend, live near Lambeau Field … I mean, what else do I need?

S. Season of choice?
Summer. I love being able to take walks outside and just be OUT of my apartment. Not a big fan of the bees, though.

T. Tea or coffee?
Coffee, I guess. Not a huge coffee drinker, either, unless it’s a mocha or something where you don’t taste the coffee.

U. Unknown fact about me?
This is hard because I’m generally an open book. I guess one thing would be that I’m very insecure when it comes to relationships. I’ve had some shitty ones in the past (plus awful first dates) so I have a really hard time opening up to people. Currently struggling with this now, to be honest!

V. Vegetable?
I love artichokes and avocado. If there’s a dish at a restaurant that has at least one of those, I’m golden.

W. Worst habit?
Over-thinking things. I’m a work-in-progress!

X. X-ray or ultrasound?
I’ve had both, so… how about neither because it usually means something is wrong.

Y. Your favorite trip?
San Francisco, though I have a feeling Ireland is going to take the cake later this year!

Z. Zodiac sign?

I’m not sure everything in that picture correctly depicts me, but hey, you get the gist.

Now it’s your turn! Answer one (or all if you’re feeling crazy) of the questions in the comments below!

  1. Gretchen | Gretch Runs says:

I love surveys! I actually just did one on my blog today too. Here are some of my answers to some of your questions:

    C. Cake or pie?
Pie. Growing up I hated cake so I always got a birthday pie!

    D. Day of choice?
Fridays. I love the start of a weekend, and Fridays are always laid back at work and I get to work from home. I get to spend all day with my dog by myself!

    E. Essential item?
I agree with you that it’s my phone! It’s amazing to think I grew up without one..can’t imagine getting by without it now!

    F. Favorite color?
Certain shades of blue and green. I don’t like every shade of either color, but there are some shades that I absolutely love!

Thanks for posting this survey, it was lots of fun! Hope you’ll come check out mine!

This post is such a cute idea! That cotton candy, oh my gosh!! Few of my best friends live near me either, it makes the time together that much more special! LOVE Saturdays, I think my favorite day is Thursday, love that whole weekend to look forward to 🙂

    • Jessie says:

Thursdays are definitely a good day, too! And that’s totally true about making your time together even more special – I love spending time with those women!
