Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone, we did it!

I sure know this has been a long week for me. After some surprising news, I’ve been trying to pull myself up and through the wonderful phases of a break-up. Right now? Well, right now I’m in the “delete him from everything and daydream about punching him in the face” stage. Ah, well. Good thing I have all of these fun favorites to distract me!

–> Friends.

It can be very lonely in the initial phase of a break up, but it can also open your eyes up to ALL of the people around you that love and support you and are willing to punch him for you if you really want. Blog friends, work friends, friends that are far away, friends that are close … I’m a lucky lady to have so many fantastic women in my life! And funny ones – this is a note I got from one of my best friends, Heather, about dating:

“Dating is a means of finding someone you fit well with. It’s like shopping. If the jeans don’t fit, it’s sad, but there’s tons of other racks of jeans to try on. Committing yourself to a pair of jeans that doesn’t fit, just because you tried them on and are sick of shopping, will lead to a ripped crotch and discomfort. And no one wants that :)”

HA. She’s the best.

Now all we need is for me to replace the woman in that gif and it’ll be even MORE awesome.

–> Warmer(ish) Weather

You know you’re from Wisconsin when you get excited when you might hit 30 degrees!

–> Scandal

I’m finally all caught up on Scandal and I’m so obsessed with the show! I highly recommend it if you’ve never seen it.

Those are just a few of my favorite things from this week. I’m excited for this weekend! Girls night tonight, lunch with my friend Rachel on Saturday, hockey game Saturday night and hanging out with my friend Taylor on Sunday. Should all be fun!

Linking up with Katie and Heather.

Any fun plans this weekend?
I’m looking for another Netflix show to watch now that I’m caught up on Scandal! Any ideas?

Thanks, lady! It’s actually not been as hard as I thought. The first day was the hardest, but I’m already feeling much more like myself. 🙂

im glad you’re finally caught up on scandal, if you have Hulu I like the first season or so of revenge, but now it’s gotten kind of weird.

  2. Gretchen | Gretch Runs says:

Sorry to hear about your breakup! Sounds like you need some great girls night(s) out 🙂 I’m also obsessed with Scandal! This season has been so different than past ones but it’s really interesting. The first episode (RUN) was sooo intense! As far as other shows on Netflix, I would recommend Friends (of course) and One Tree Hill! I can’t wait to start that after I finish Friday Night Lights (another favorite)

    Have a great weekend!

I’ve heard that Friday Night Lights is good as well! I’m afraid to start another show – Scandal took over my LIFE for a week and a half! 🙂

There is a company here in LA that actually rents out puppies for people to play with, since it has been proven that depression can be fought with something as simple as puppy cuddles! My friend actually rented 2 puppies for her birthday, and she literally just let them jump on her and lick her all day 🙂
