My Top 8(ish) Favorite Workout Tunes

I don’t know about you, but I can’t force myself to workout without some good music. While my taste is definitely eclectic, I think I’ve found some great tunes (new and old) that you could add to your playlists if you’re looking for good workout songs! While my typical “get ready in the morning” songs are Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Spice Girls, my workout songs are a little bit different. I like upbeat songs with a good beat and if there’s a bass drop … I’m all about it. 😉 I probably look crazy bopping to these songs on the stair master, but I just don’t care!

Here are my Top 8(ish) Favorite Workout Tunes!

1) “I Want Crazy” by Hunter Hayes
I love, love, love this song. This song got me through a break-up a couple of years back (because don’t we all want crazy, crazy love?) so I like to play it as a reminder to myself. Plus, bonus points: Hunter Hayes is hot, has a good voice and the beat is super upbeat. Link to song

2) “I’m On a Boat” by The Lonely Island
I mean, I just love this song. It’s so dumb, but it gets me going. Anything by The Lonely Island is good with me. This just happens to be the only one I’ve purchased at this point! Link to song

3) “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” by Fallout Boy
I’ve always been a Fall Out Boy fan, but this song is such a good song. Plus, I have a thing with fire … Don’t judge me. 😉 (which I realized makes no sense if you haven’t listened to the song – they sing about lighting things up.) Link to song

4) “This Is What It Feels Like” by Armin van Buuren
This song is perfect if you’re looking for an upbeat song without the heavy bass like a dubstep song, but it’s still electronic. I love, love, love this song and it’s fun to do when you’re on the elliptical or taking a walk or something boring. Link to song

5) “Wiggle” by Jason Derulo featuring Snoop Dogg
What can I say, I’m a fan of the sassy songs when I’m working out (or always, whatever). I honestly love this song. Jason Derulo has a fantastic voice and I’m all about feelin’ sexy when I’m working out so I don’t notice how nasty I probably look. Link to song

6) “Turn Down For What” by DJ Snake, Lil’ John
Another song with a great beat that keeps you going at full speed! Link to song

7) “I Choose U” by Timeflies
Another electronic-type song with a fun, fast beat for walks, running, elliptical…ing? I love this song. Link to song

8) “Vava Voom” by Bassnectar featuring Lupe Fiasco
Hands down, my favorite song on the list. I’m a sucker for dubstep (something about deep bass and bass drops just makes me go CRAZY). I saw Bassnectar in concert a few years ago and absolutely loved him. I have tons of his songs on my phone, but this one is the one that gets me most amped or you’ll see me put on repeat. And I’m adding a 9th because I’m an idiot and forgot about one of my most favorite songs of ALL TIME currently that I put on repeat over and over and over … My coworker and I are constantly singing and humming this in the office.

“Honey I’m Good” by Andy Gramar – LOVE LOVE LOVE

I like music, what can I say. 🙂
