Weekend Recap #3

Another Monday means another weekend has passed! Time to link up with Meg and Katie again!

This was a weekend of working (and apparently taking too many pictures of myself). In fact, here’s one of me from this morning – Super proud of myself because I lost two pounds since last week – woo!


I love wearing leggings on Mondays. I’d rather have casual Mondays than casual Fridays! Thankfully my job is pretty relaxed when I don’t have events.

So anyways, back to my weekend. Friday started at my full-time job and then I headed out to my second job for my first closing training shift. 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. … It was a long, but rewarding day!

After that, I passed out on my couch watching YouTube videos.

On Saturday, I drove up to my hometown to have lunch and start planning Ireland stuff with my dad. OH, AND I GOT TO SEE THE PUPPIES (and cats and birds and horses … not the guinea pigs, though)!!!


And yes, that is a black lab in the cat tree. He’s a weird one.

Once I got back to Green Bay, I headed over to Bonsai for sushi and it was SO good! Dangerous to know there’s a sushi place on my way home so I need to stay away from that. Oh, and there was a beautiful sunset – this picture doesn’t do it justice.


I didn’t get much sleep that night (thanks a lot, brain) so the 5:30 a.m. wake-up call on Sunday was not very much appreciated. I grabbed my Spark, somehow got my contacts in and took off for my first opening shift at the gym. Thank God I can wear leggings and a my work shirt – didn’t have to think about wardrobe!

After a long (but fun) shift, I took a walk, ran some errands, ate some Chipotle (of course) and fell asleep on the couch at 4 p.m. watching YouTube videos again. I finally got some energy and made myself some Quest cookies (which is super easy and the best wayΒ to eat Quest bars in my opinion). Oliver helped.

In case you’re interested, this is how I make my Quest bar “cookies”.Β 

1) Take your favorite quest bar (mine are cookie dough, the oreo lookin’ one and s’mores) and put them on a plate. Heat them up in the microwave for 10-11 seconds, just enough to soften them.
2) Cut softened quest bar into as many pieces as you want and put them on to a cookie sheet (make sure you use coconut spray or something so that they don’t stick to the pan).
3) Place under the broiler in the oven for 3 minutes or so. I actually stand by the oven and watch them because they don’t take long and I’ve burned them before.
4) Take them out and enjoy! They’re a little crunchy with a soft middle. YUM!!

And then, I won’t lie, I went and laid on my bed at 7:30 p.m. and don’t remember anything until I woke up this morning. Exhausting, but rewarding weekend!

      You know, I still don’t know if the printed leggings look “good” on me, but they’re so comfy that I just don’t care. πŸ˜‰ And I wear a shirt long enough to cover my backside, so it all works out.

      It definitely is, but so far I like it! Plus I get a free gym membership. And there are cute boys. It all works out. πŸ˜‰
