Weekend Recap #6

Good morning, friends! It’s been a hot minute (well, since last Wednesday) since I’ve written anything. Honestly, most of the reason is because I don’t have a working computer at home and we had off of work for Good Friday. And, well, I just didn’t have anything important to say. 🙂

My weekend wasn’t much of a weekend, but I’ll still tell you about it! All of my weekends this month will be similar since I work every single weekend at one of my jobs. I’m already exhausted and it’s only April 6! Plus, I’m ready for this meme to be everywhere.

So, since we haven’t talked since Wednesday, we’ll start at Thursday! Thursday was a long day of work for me (a little over 15 hours) so I started the day at my full-time job, took an hour-long walk over lunch (it was GORGEOUS outside) and then worked at the gym from 5-11 p.m. First night on all by myself!

Friday I woke up, made myself some breakfast and had a super lazy day since I was super exhausted from the night before and had most of the day off.

I also got my shipment in on Friday of my AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge which I started this morning – woot!

After a (not long enough) day off, I headed in to work from 5-10:30 at the gym. It was SO dead. Thankfully my sister came in for a little bit to talk to me. Everyone was not in the mood to workout! I was pretty proud of my outfit, though. Cat socks matched my face. 😉

Saturday morning I woke up early (again – my body was NOT into letting me sleep in) and did a few things around my apartment. I also separated each day of the 24-Day Challenge out in little plastic bags  with all the info on them so I wouldn’t miss anything. Preparation is key with this challenge!

I put on some crazy workout clothes and headed to the gym about an hour and a half earlier than my shift in order to get a workout in. I did a 25-minute HIIT run/walk and then a little bit of arms. Upper body is definitely my weakness!

Hot pink pants!

I worked at the gym from 2-6, then headed to dinner with my family before going to watch my sister get baptized!

I’m obviously the mature one in the family. Church went until 10:30 and this grandma was TIRED.

Sunday I finally slept in (well, until 9:30, which is super late for me) and then my sister came over to do her laundry. I dragged her out to get Noodles & Co. for lunch and then go grocery shopping for the 24-Day Challenge. We went to my aunt’s house around 2:30 and stayed for a few hours with some family and then back to my apartment we went! She finished her laundry while I trashed my apartment food prepping.

I also had a mountain dew (doesn’t tasted as good as I remember – I’d rather have Spark!) and a LOT of candy. Might as well eat all the crap possible before starting the challenge, right? 😉

And that was my weekend! I’m thankful that I got in a little time for relaxation, but I’m really looking forward to this Friday where I have the entire day off. THE WHOLE THING. I’m so exhausted today that I ended up re-setting my alarm four times this morning because I just couldn’t get out of bed. Oh, April … why do you have to be so tough on me?!

Linking up with Katie and Meg!

Did you have a good weekend?
Anyone else overbook themselves this month?

Oh man, I’m exhausted just reading about your weekend! Maybe the month will fly by for you since you’re super busy! I commend you for being able to work at your part time job while still keeping on track with everything else! I’d love to work somewhere on the weekends but I think I’d get burnt out! Hope you have a wonderful week!!

    • Jessie says:

I’ll be honest – I’m a little worried about burning myself out this month. Or just in general. Unfortunately I don’t make enough money in my full-time job to only work one job right now. 🙁 BUT at least both of my jobs are fun! It’s just days like today where I have a 15-hour day that I’m draggin’ a little. 🙂

I can’t get over how putting everything in Ziploc bag for each day is a genius idea! I’ll totally do that next time I do a challenge! Poor thing, you must be EXHAUSTED! I’m in the final stretch of the school semester, so maybe we can be exhausted together?! Way more bearable that being exhausted alone 😉

It’s nice you were able to spend some time with your family even though you had such a busy weekend working. I’m happy you at least get all day next Friday off! (:
And I hear you about not being able to sleep in…my body is crazy and can’t do it either!

I know! It seems like when I want to sleep in, I have to force myself NOT to get up before 8 a.m. It’s ridiculous. So looking forward to Friday to (not) sleep in! 😉
