Weekend Recap #7

Wow! What a week/weekend. I’m exhausted! It doesn’t help that my mind decided 3:30 a.m. today was a good time to freak out about stuff for work. Exhausted or not, here’s a bit from my weekend. Linking up with Katie for a marvelous Monday!

Friday started off with a day off, which was absolutely spectacular! I got up around 9, meandered over to the gym at noon and took one of the best spin classes EVER and then went to Target to pick up a few things.IMG_6387

Reppin’ Tone It Up, of course. Once I got home, I ate and just relaxed. Not something I get to do very often! Oh, and it was technically National Sibling Day, so I took some time to put up some embarrassing pictures of my sister and I.

Once I got the “I’m bored, I need to do something” bug that I always get when I sit around too long, I started meal prepping for the weekend. Busy weekend = lots of prep for this AdvoCare challenge!

Saturday morning I got up around 7:30 and got ready for my day. I was volunteering for a few hours at Relay for Life, so I did that until about 2:30 before leaving for a last minute trip to Milwaukee!

I got into Milwaukee (my GPS thought it’d be fun to take me to the wrong place …) and I finally ended up at Saige’s apartment. Of course, no pictures. Sometimes I suck. We gabbed for awhile and then decided to be healthy and take a walk through a beautiful neighborhood while talking instead of just sitting around. Almost an hour and a half later, we came back to her house and headed to Chipotle. I had a 24-Day Challenge “okay” salad and then we went back to her place to hang out until our friend Heather arrived. Let’s just say I think that last time I looked at my phone before falling asleep was 3:30 a.m. 🙂 Love those girls and I’m so lucky I got to see them and chat our little hearts out. You know friends that just lift you up, yet challenge you at the same time? That’s definitely Heather and Saige for me. Love them!

Anyways, after that love fest I woke up the next morning way earlier than I should’ve and hung out on my favorite chair at Saige’s (I want an over-sized chair so bad!) until she got home from church.

With my Spark and a cheesey smile, of course. Oh, and I sent funny pictures to my dad.

He likes squirrels.

I left Saige’s because she was off to a conference for work and headed to my friend Katie’s apartment out in Waukesha. Katie is my Tone It Up partner, so we had some catching up to do since the Bikini Series starts today (4/13/15)! We took her adorable pup Cooper out for a walk (we know how I feel about dogs …) He thought it would be fun to go swamp diving, so he was nice and muddy, but OH so happy.

After our walk, we headed to Chipotle (twice in one weekend? Not a new concept for me) and then to Trader Joes. I bought way more food than I needed, saw an ex that completely avoided me (whyyyy is that a thing?!) and bought myself some flowers. Because I deserve them.

After a long journey home (apparently Brewers traffic goes all the way from Milwaukee to Green Bay …), I upacked all of my groceries, did some meal prepping and made myself a small dinner. We ate at Chipotle pretty late, so I really wasn’t hungry.

And then I did boring things like laundry, catching up on my YouTube subscriptions and messed around on my Instagram profiles (I have one regular one and then one fitness specific for Tone It Up). Of course, I didn’t fall asleep until after 11 and then woke up from 3:30-4:30, so my first Bikini Series workout did NOT happen this morning, but that’s okay.

And that’s it for me! Just gotta get through another long Monday. 🙂

How was your weekend? What was your favorite part?

  1. Megan says:

Sorry, I’m a little slow getting to your post but it sounds like you had an awesome weekend! I was seriously looking at buying some flowers this weekend too! I feel like our place needs some color so I’m still thinking about getting some. I’ve been craving some Chipotle so you mentioning it twice makes me want a burrito now!

Wanna know the worst part? I had Chipotle again last night. Whoops! 🙂 Flowers always brighten up a room! I can’t wait until the farmer’s markets are up and running again so I can get some fresh ones.
