Happy Monday! I’m in the weirdest mood this morning and am excited to start this week. Maybe it was because I finally had a day off this weekend and had a spectacular event for work yesterday. I’m not sure! Either way, I hope your Monday is off to a marvelous start as well. Linking up with Katie!
Friday was a pretty fun and quiet day at work. I went to lunch with two of my coworkers and then headed over to watch one of them be pied in the face. Not a bad way thing to watch happen to your supervisor. KIDDING. Still was funny, though. 😉
I think the lady pieing him is having the most fun. 😉
After work on Friday, I went to dinner with my friend Brooke and her two daughters and then headed to the gym. The gym on a Friday? I KNOW. What is happening to me?
I basically spent the night trying to figure out the machines that intimidate me the most and Snapchatting with a friend who kept being like, “I bet you could do 190 lbs” “Bet you can’t do 200”. You best believe I proved him wrong. Then I couldn’t walk, but that’s okay. I was right!
Saturday morning I got up around 8:30 and headed to the gym (I KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING) and then got all prettied up. It was supposed to be super nice out, so I took advantage and wore my maxi dress (again) but I don’t care because I love that thing. It’ll probably be in the rotation every week moving forward.
After that, I met my sister at the movie theater to watch the Avengers! I was a little heartbroken that Loki wasn’t in it (yes, I understand he’s not an Avenger but … LOKI)
At least I got Thor (and Captain America wasn’t looking too shabby).
It was a spectacular movie, as expected.
After that, my sister and I headed to Chili’s for a late lunch where I ate my weight in chips and salsa. We then went to Target quick and headed back to my apartment after some errands and I convinced her to go for a walk with me.
Of course, we spent too much time out there and by the time we got home I was starving, which ended in another bad meal of eats.
I technically only had one piece of pizza, but I did have five breadsticks so …
Then GUESS WHO SHOWED UP TO HANG OUT WITH ME?!
Only my best friend in the entire world, Michelle! 🙂 I knew she was coming, but she flew in for less than 48-hours to surprise her sister for her graduation and then was leaving super early on Sunday morning so she stayed with me. We chatted for a few hours before hitting the hay, but I’ll get to see her again in a little over a week before she moves to Hawaii! I also woke up to a love note from her, which was a great morning present as I got ready for my event on Sunday.
I got up pretty early (5:45 – not as early as Michelle, though!) to get ready for my event on Sunday in Milwaukee.
I was way more awake for 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday than I should’ve been.
My Mass & Brunch in Milwaukee went really well for work (the food was outstanding) and I got to see one of my favorite friends from the Milwaukee-area, Melissa!
I then proceeded to convince her to go to a wedding with me later this month, so you’ll be seeing her on the blog again later. 🙂
We got home from Milwaukee around 3 and I took advantage of the 82 degree weather (WHAT?!) and took a walk outside for a little over an hour.
Then headed over to the grocery store to pick up some “necessities” and somehow came out with two types of ice cream. I mean, really?
The remainder of the night I spent eating some of that damn ice cream, watching YouTube subscriptions and trying to go to sleep early which did not happen because someone doesn’t know how to put down her phone (*ahemjessie*).
And that was my weekend! A little too much “indulgence” and unfortunately I’m up almost 2.5 lbs since Thursday – oof! Granted, I know a big chunk of that is probably from so much sodium and it’ll probably go down, but time to hop back on that train! I’m hoping to dedicate one day to talking about fitness / health related stuff. Would that still interest you guys? Wouldn’t be as in-depth as my AdvoCare reviews, but I figured it would keep me accountable!
Tell me something you did this weekend? Did you guys all enjoy the weather wherever you are?
