Happy Friday Eve! This week has been all over the place and with it being the week before Memorial Day and the week after commencement, the campus I work at is pretty much empty. I’ve been taking advantage of the time to clean up my stuff around my office and (honestly) being a little less productive than normal. Hey, when you have six-weeks straight of no weekends off and multiple events, I think I can have a day or two where my productivity isn’t through the roof, am I right?
Anyways, here are some of my random
crazy thoughts this week! Linking up with the spectacular Amanda. 🙂
Yesterday I woke up pretty early and forced myself to go to a cycling class and it was the best decision. I wrote about why I love cycling class yesterday if you’re interested in checking that out. Of course, once class was over and I went to take a shower, I realized I didn’t have a bra with me so I had to run home and get ready. I still managed to put myself together, though.
Speaking of #1 ^^, why is it that whenever you get really dressed up and look awesome, you see absolutely no one and do absolutely nothing all day? I mean, I know I sound vain, but I totally wasted makeup and an awesome outfit. Thankfully my SnapChat family got to see my shame
My mom saw the snap and told me I looked beautiful – so that made my day. So I guess at least she saw my pretty outfit. 🙂
(Which she probably bought all the pieces to …)
(Actually, I think she did …)
Of course at like 10 p.m. when I’m in yoga pants and a baggy tank top with no makeup – THEN SOMEONE decides they wanna hang out with me.
Neville Longbottom (okay, he has a real name, but … no) and JK Rowling had the greatest Twitter conversation yesterday …
This is what the conversation was about if you’re too lazy to read the article.
Now I betcha will read the article.
So many inappropriate comments I could say right now … sooooooooooo many.
Accio Neville Longbottom!
My workouts have been slacking a bit lately – gotta get back into it. I’ve still been on a downhill slide since the AdvoCare challenge and while it helped me get back on track, I feel like I fell right back off. Time to get back on track! Monday I did a short leg workout, yesterday I took a 6 a.m. cycling class and I might take another cycling class tonight and hopefully fit in an arm workout. We’re in the home stretch of the Tone It Up Bikini Series!
My anxiety seems to have lightened up since earlier this week. I’m trying really hard to remind myself that everything happens for a reason and there’s no use stressing about things you can’t control. Easier said than done, right? For me, the more conscious I am about how I’m feeling, the better. Instead of letting thoughts consume me, I’ll write them out (for you wonderful peeps to read), talk to friends or just let myself feel frustrated.
And those are my random thoughts today!
Any other HP nerds out there? Who is your favorite character?
