I will not let this Monday kick my ass. I will not, I will not, I will not.
^^Trying to convince myself of something that I know I’m going to lose^^
So instead of dealing with the fact that it’s Monday, I’ll write about my weekend instead since it was pretty fun.
Friday night started out with me being the only one in the office all afternoon (yay flex summer Fridays) so I was ready to go by 4:30 on the dot. I got home, turbo-cleaned my apartment and then went to get sushi with my friend Brooke.
I was obviously very excited.
After sushi we headed to The Libertine for “a drink” which turned into “too many drinks”. Whoops.
The next day I got up early and hung around at home until I convinced my sister to go to Margaritas with me so I could have chips and salsa and a LOT of diet mountain dew.
After that, we went to a mall about a half hour from where we live and roamed around there for awhile. I finally came to terms with the fact that I needed to buy smaller bras (only bad part about losing weight, in my opinion – why can’t it leave my butt first?!) and found some Francesca’s sandals on super sale. I found about 10,000 things I “needed” at Forever 21 as well, but then ended up leaving with nothing because I was over shopping at that point.
After a quick trip to see my sister’s new apartment, I grabbed a bunch of junk food and went home, ate and tried to watch the Lightening / Blackhawks hockey game, but I kept falling asleep. I was able to stay awake for the entire third period and then it was over for me.
Sunday I woke up and got ready for my first musical!
My friend Mary invited me to see Dirty Dancing with her and I absolutely loved it.
Once I got home, I had a two-hour phone conversation with my friend Amy (miss youuuuu) and ended up watching a bunch of random YouTube videos before trying to go to bed. Let’s just say my apartment thinks it’s fun to hold all of the humidity within it and I tossed and turned until 3 a.m. when I finally went into my living room to try to sleep on the couch by my only AC unit. I think I got a total of two hours of sleep last night, and I have a 14-hour day today. Should be interesting … This is how it started out.
I’m already over it today.
So I’m trying my best to steer clear of people, not text anyone that is slightly irritating me (I had about 8 hours of time last night to overthink everything happening in my life) and maybe find some caffeine. I had told myself that I was doing a reset today with no caffeine and eating better, but I’m wondering if the no caffeine on two-hours of sleep for a 14-hour day is the best idea. 😉
