It’s officially summer … yayyyyy! This past weekend was a busy one, but a fun one.
Friday I had a half day (yesssss) so I went home and tried not to eat everything in my house.
I had quite a bit on my mind, so I went for a long walk, called a few people and then met my friend Lauren for sushi. Which I, of course, forgot to take a picture of but it was good! The weather was absolutely gorgeous.
After sushi, we headed over to Hagemeister Park to snag a seat on their patio and ended up being able to sneak right into one of the best seats in the house!
Naturally I fell in love with the guy singing because 1) he was singing, 2) he was playing a guitar, 3) he was attractive and 4) he was not wearing a ring.
But then I completely forgot about my new long-lost-love when they turned the fire on. Fire > Boys.
Saturday I headed up north for my family reunion, but not before hanging out with the pups.
When we got up to Camp Bird (a recreational camp that my family rents out for all of us – there were about 100 of us there) I immediately headed out to play on the bridge.
I also took some beautiful photos with my mom’s nice camera, but I’ll have to do a separate post with those pics when I have them! I need a camera like that. I’ve always been very passionate about photography, but I tend to let stuff like work take over things I’m passionate about.
After a bunch of hours catching up with family and one long walk around the lake with my dad (and two ticks YUCK) I took off back for my apartment to get some much needed sleep and a shower.
Sunday I started the morning out at the gym and then headed back up for the family reunion. It’s always so hard leaving those things – I had family in from as far away as Alaska!
P.S. If you ever want to feel “behind” on the whole life thing, please go to a family reunion. Ha. I don’t know how many times I was asked “where’s the boyfriend?” or (regarding the little children running all over me) “When are you gonna have some of these?” …….. Then there’s me.
It’s been a stressful start to the week, so here we go! How was your weekend? I’m already looking forward to Friday at noon …
