I can’t believe it’s Monday already! Can we go back to Saturday, please? Saturdays are definitely my favorite day of the week – *usually* get to sleep in and you don’t have to worry about going back to work on Monday yet. Unless you’re like me and work way too many jobs, but that’s okay.(:
First of all, something super big and awesome happened on Friday that is way more important than anything else I’m going to write about. So, so happy. And I absolutely love this piece.
Friday was a half-day for me (I love summer flex hours …) so I was excited and ready to go! I promise I was more excited than I look in this photo. I took a 360 Small Group Training at the gym the night before and I was feeling the burn!
Fun fact: I got about six texts and a SnapChat back from people wondering where my bed is. Let’s just say my apartment only has one air conditioner so that mattress and box spring are laying out in my living room until I can afford a window unit. Or maybe I’ll just stay out there – I’m the only one that’s here anyway and Oliver doesn’t care – he has an extra large bed to sunbathe on now.
Once noon came around, my friend/coworker Brooke and I headed over to Green Bay for Food Truck Friday! It only happens two times a month and we work pretty far from it, so a half day seemed like the perfect time.
I took a ton of photos on SnapChat … but barely any in real life. I suck. Let’s just say that I ate cheesecurds, a pulled pork sandwich and a pink lemonade before I had this …
And to be honest? I didn’t like anything I got and ended up spending like $20 on everything total. I’d go again, but not get what I got. Still a fun experience, though! One that put me in a food coma for the rest of the afternoon.
After laying around on the couch all afternoon, I got my butt up and went to Biker Chicks (an all-female cycling class at my gym every other Friday) and it was BY FAR the most fun I’ve ever had. There were two awesome instructors and everyone was having such a good time. I love cycling.
After cycling class, I
slammed my pinky finger in my locker and screamed bloody murder got ready really quick to head out to get sushi with my friend Rachel at Phin. We had some wine and shared three amazing rolls and then randomly ran into two of her girlfriends. We then went to Hagemeister Park and The Libertine (two bars that are pretty much the only places you’ll find me at if I’m out) and then I headed home. I’d give you more detail but again, I took photos for SnapChat … and didn’t keep any of them for the blog. <pouting>
Saturday I slept in a tiny bit, got up and cleaned my apartment that hasn’t been cleaned in weeks (yayyyy working too much!). I took a pre-workout supplement to get myself amped up for the gym which ended up with me spending 15 minutes cutting up a shirt so that I could wear my pink pants to the gym and I needed a shirt that matched. #fashionproblems? #exceptacutuprunningtshirtisnotfashion
Once I got to the gym, I went a little crazy. Pre-workout works for that, you know! I basically pushed myself to the limit on legs and then thought it would be fun to try some burpee-pushup-box jump type things. I don’t even know how I didn’t die (but I can barely walk today).
After that, I hit up Chipotle and Complete Nutrition before going home to eat ALL THE THINGS.
I also had the grape flavor of AdvoCare’s Spark and SERIOUSLY?! Where has this been all my life? I don’t normally like grape flavored things, but omg so good. So good, in fact, that I had some at like 4 p.m. which is a tad late for caffeinated beverages and this lady. So I took an hour walk.
And then came home and sat on my patio with some fruit and water while messing around on social media.
And then I barely slept because I had too much caffeine in my system so I woke up 350,000 times. I had to open the gym on Sunday (worked from 6:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. before everyone left), picked up some Qdoba on my way home, took a 20-minute nap, went and got an ice cream cone (I’m not good at dieting) and then finished up my day with some laundry, YouTube videos and went to bed early … only to wake up with a migraine at 4:30 a.m. so my morning workout was out the window. At least I put on a cute outfit today?
When all else fails and I’m not feeling well, I put on a cute outfit and call it a day. I work all day and tonight at one of our tennis courts, so here’s to hoping I make it through the day! Otherwise I might call in a half day for this headache. Oof.
