Oh, Monday. Why you have to come back so soon?? Granted, I had a pretty low-key weekend, but it was better than Monday!
Friday was another half day at work (four more until they’re over until next summer – SADS!), but I started the morning out with a 6 a.m. spin class and it honestly was the worst class I ever taken. Not because of the instructor or anything, but I was so wiped from being sick on and off last week PLUS had barely slept since I worked late on Thursday night, but at least I got up and did something! After a half day at work, I went home and tried to tidy up my place. With that came putting together my August dry erase board calendar (I’m a calendar lady – seriously – I have two google calendars, a desk one, an Erin Condren one and the dry erase one at home) and while, I don’t want to wish away August because it’s the last of my favorite season, I just can’t even handle it right now.
After my afternoon off, I met my friend Mary over at Island Sushi (a new sushi place in De Pere) for all-you-can-eat sushi and it was really good! I liked that the sushi came around on boats. 🙂
After the sushi boat extravaganza, we headed over to SALT to have a drink (or two). I had some sort of grapefruit vodka lemonade thingy that was really good.
Since we were so close to the college (Mary & I went to college together), we decided we’d walk around campus. I, of course, was totally not walking around campus in hopes that I’d run into a Packer player. Nope. Not me. (The Packers stay on campus for their training camp and it’s REALLY DIFFICULT knowing they’re so close to me) After walking around campus (and falling down in my 4-inch wedges and throwing my purse to try to save myself – it happened), we headed home.
Saturday morning started out early for me as I was taking a cycling class at 8 a.m. (which went wayyyyyy better than the class did on Friday morning) and a little bit of an arm workout thrown in after that. I went home, ate some overnight oats (first time ever making those!) and laid around watching YouTube videos. I took a nap from 2-4 p.m. (whoops), and then headed to Target to pick up a few things and get myself out of the house. Of course, I picked up a food scale because I’d like to start tracking macros but NOOOO. It doesn’t work. Thanks a lot, food scale! I have no pictures from Saturday since all I did was workout and sleep so …. moving on!
Sunday I (woke up late) made a Brownie Batter Bake recipe from Amanda at Running with Spoons which was really good!
After eating, I got ready to go take a Cardio Kickboxing + Glutes class at my gym and HOLY CRAP my legs/butt were in so much pain! Good pain, of course.
Literally kicked my ass. I wasn’t feeling so hot afterwards, though. I definitely hadn’t drank enough water or eaten enough, so I walked around TJ Maxx to pick up a few things for Ireland and then went home to take a migraine pill and kick it on the couch for the rest of the night.
And now we’re on to Monday! I have a work party/team building thing this afternoon/evening and then have to go on to my other job. It’s going to be a long day and this is how I currently feel.
