Friday Favorites: TGIF

Oh man, this Friday is much needed. It’s been a long week (and a disappointing week, to be honest) and I’m just ready to have some me time.

I was supposed to be heading into Milwaukee this weekend, but unfortunately funds just aren’t available for me to do that. Sometimes it’s really hard to swallow that even though I work two jobs, I still don’t have money to do anything for me. Granted, maybe if I was a little bit better with money, that wouldn’t be the case, but it sucks when I have to cancel a trip to MKE because I can’t afford the gas to get there and the money for my hair. But this rainy Friday is just not helping my sad mood! At this point, I work SO much just to “survive” and I have been my entire life and let me tell you, it’s exhausting! Blah – rant over!

So, GOOD THINGS! My favorites this week.

>>> My first favorite is my best friend, Michelle. I have lots of friends all over the place, but Michelle is one of the few that I feel like I don’t have to work to keep, you know? She’s just always there and I know I’m important to her. Miss you, girl!

>>> This video. I Love Amy Young. She’s the one that got me to see how ridiculous I was being in a recent “relationship” if you can even call it that. But this video is spectacular- and if you don’t want to watch all of it, skip to 6:30. 🙂

>>> Spark. Seriously, that stuff is getting me through this morning, ha!

>>> This wallet from Apricot Lane – I want it SO BAD but remember how I told you I can’t afford to go to MKE? Well, the $25 they wanted for this wallet wasn’t in the cards (literally) either.

>>> And finally, I had the best day yesterday! I was just in the best mood, got lots done at work (and it was my one year anniversary … which no one remembered except me ha). So here’s to changing my attitude to be in the same mindset as yesterday!

Those are my favorites for this week – what are some of yours? Linking up with Heather.

So far, it’s been pretty relaxing! YES, student loans suck the life out of me. Plus, one of mine doubles next year. OH MAN. Better get a raise before then! And thank you 🙂 I’ve been loving the curls lately.
