Weekend Recap: Birthdays and Laziness

Happy Monday, friends! It’s been a busy Monday for me already, so let’s just jump into this. As always, linking up with the wonderful Katie. 🙂

Friday was probably one of the laziest days of my life. I was a little bummed (as you could maybe tell from my Friday Favorites post …) and it was gloomy outside, so I kind of just let myself be in a mood. I worked until noon (only a few more half-day Fridays left!) and went straight home where I cuddled up on the couch for the next 10 hours – seriously. I only moved to eat two bowls of Reese’s Puffs, half a bag of chocolate chips and there was probably some pasta thrown in there, too. ALL THE CARBS. I watched a ton of YouTube and went to bed at 10 p.m. #partyanimal

Saturday morning I woke up with a little more pep in my step. I went to cycling class at 8 a.m., got a shake from the nutrition place in the club and headed off up north to switch cars with my dad. This little memo popped up on my phone on the way there.

I still can’t believe I won airline tickets to Ireland and I’LL BE THERE IN LESS THAN A MONTH. I don’t think I’ll fully believe it until I’m staying on the ground in the country I’ve wanted to visit for years. AHHH, I can’t even talk about it right now because I’ll cry. AGAIN.

After hanging out up north with the pups and my parents, I headed back to Green Bay to hang out with my friends Lauren and Heather for Lauren’s birthday! I met up with them at a martini bar and then we headed to a place called Anduzzis (never been, but it was cool) to play shuffleboard. I insisted I couldn’t play, so I was the cheerleader until Lauren gave up and I took her place. Apparently I’m good at shuffleboard? Found that out.

Also found out that I sucked at taking pictures this weekend, but that’s neither here nor there.

Sunday I woke up super late (mostly because I was up until 3 a.m. for the first time in like years) and went to brunch with the two lovelies pictured above. I spent the rest of the day running errands, cleaning, watching YouTube (because that’s all I do) and meal prepping.

Oh, and then I watched Bachelor in Paradise and continued to feel bad about myself for being single. BUT I got to watch Kirk (fellow Green Bay boy) and I’M SO SAD he seems to have a girlfriend on the show already, but then I’m happy because she’s super cool. I guess if it can’t be me ….

I mean SERIOUSLY. He’s just the cutest guy ever.

Moving on …

That was my weekend for ya! Nothing too crazy, but fun either way. Now I’m headed into this week which isn’t looking too bad plus the first Packers game is on Thursday so how could I possibly be in a bad mood?! And the second guy in my post that should break up with his girlfriend for me.

How was your weekend?
Anyone else get sucked into the crap that is Bachelor in Paradise?

Its only preseason, but the vikings did manage to win last night! I played beer olympics all day saturday and managed to be on the winning team (complete fluke). Sunday I had to recover from drinking beer all day, but had a retirement party to go to, so I ended up playing more lawn games and drinking wine. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to drink another beer. I’m getting old!

Haha, no comment on my thoughts on the Vikings. 😉 I’m with you on the alcohol thing, though! I only had a couple of drinks on Saturday night and I still woke up with a headache.

I can’t even believe that football is already on!? I’ve only been to one NFL game in my life & it was a pre season one so it didn’t really count, haha. Looks like you had a good/productive weekend! Are those pancakes?? I always make coconut flour ones & fail every single time.

I’ve been lucky and have been able to go to quite a few of them! They’re so much fun – at least the Packers ones are 😉 Those are pancakes! I bought the protein Kodiak pancakes brand from Target – they’re really good!

Football already?! NOOOOOO!!!!!! I hate football season! My husband watches baseball way more, but I don’t mind baseball. I can’t do football. Although, if I had to pick, I’d be a Packers Fan since I’m from Wisconsin too! I like Kirk! I just started watching the show this past season (Bachelor/Bachelorette) so I never saw Kirk’s season, but he seems so nice! I also had no idea you won those tickets to Ireland! How awesome! I would LOVE to win tickets to just about anywhere!!! Other countries are just so awesome!!!

Hahaha! See, I hate baseball. Kirk seems like a sweet heart and he’s a Wisconsin boy at heart, so I’ve gotta love that about him. And YES! I still can’t believe I won those tickets. I don’t think I will believe it until I’m on the ground in Ireland.

    • Jessie says:

It’s actually a horrible show, haha. This is the first season I’ve watched and really I’m only watching it for Kirk. That is super funny that Scott loves it, though! Hahaha.
