A Wedding Recap Weekend!

Whew, what a weekend! I’m exhausted, ha! Linking up with Katie.

We’ll start with Thursday night, mostly because I want to show you a picture of my sister’s new kitten. 🙂 I went to cycling class (FIRST TIME WORKING OUT SINCE AUGUST) and then headed off to meet the kitten.

He’s the cutest!

Friday was a half day at work and then I headed up to Door County for a wedding-filled weekend! It was pretty crazy getting some last minute touches put together. Once the day was over, we had our rehearsal dinner and then the bride (Taylor), one of the bridesmaids (Krista) and I went back to Krista’s hotel to get away from the craziness for the night. The best parts of the night were finding a ball pit (at least I thought it was pretty great …)

And these salt & pepper shakers in our room. What?

And before we knew it, Saturday was here and we were off to get ready!

The day was really effing cold (let’s be honest), but it turned out beautifully. The reception was outside, then we went for pictures around Door County (which was the most fun part in my opinion) and then back for the reception in the barn. Here’s a few pictures. 🙂

Taylor & Nick

The guy on the smallest pink horse is 6’6″. That’s the best part.

Our bouquets were shells and succulents, which fit the underwater theme and were SUPER cool. I love mine.

The rest of the night consisted of dancing, eating lots of rice krispy treats and rock candy and staying out of the cold. Loved it – and so happy I got to be a part of Taylor’s day!

Sunday I woke up at a random hotel (HA – fooled you – I was with my mom and sister) and headed out to find some breakfast and walk around Sturgeon Bay a bit. Jenny and I found some funny signs that I had to put up on Snapchat (which you should follow me on … just sayin’) JustJessie23.

We found a store that sold olive oil and wine too, so that was fun. My mom bought me a chocolate cherry wine – YES.

After that, I drove back to Green Bay, ate terrible Taco Bell and tried to stay awake for the Packer game. THEY WON, in case you didn’t know.

That was my weekend! I’ll be back with another Ireland recap tomorrow. THERE ARE SO MANY!

What did you do this weekend? Enjoying the Fall weather?

Welcome back from Ireland! I’m not sure when you arrived back, but it’s good to read another post from you!

Your weekend sounds like a blast. Of course I know the Packers won. It wan’t on until 1145 my time.. so that’s when I watched it 🙂

Thanks, Jessie! I’ve been back about two weeks now. I’ve been writing about my Ireland adventures – if you get bored, you should catch up! 🙂

Weddings are so fun & what an awesome theme they had! I’ve never even thought or seen anything like it before! How is the chocolate cherry wine?? Sounds delicious! Looks like an awesome weekend!

They really are! The bride is one of those super creative types and had this vision that worked out beautifully! I haven’t tried the wine yet – I’m afraid of drinking it all in one go and being too hungover to go to work. 🙂 Ha!
