Can you seriously believe next Sunday is NOVEMBER?! I mean, really. That’s basically Christmas which is not okay because I have no money to buy Christmas presents. Sorry, family!
So this weekend was slightly boring, slightly fun, slightly busy. Pretty good weekend in my mind. I started off Friday working my full-time job (obviously) and then spending the night not doing much. I did make it to Biker Chicks (a cycling class at my gym that only happens twice a month) which was super fun. It was a new-to-me instructor and she might have just jumped up to my favorite one!
Saturday morning started out a little early for me because I knew I had an early morning Sunday so I wanted to stay in a rhythm. I got up around 7 a.m. and headed into the gym for a 30-minute arm/back workout. I’d like to say it went well, but I feel no soreness today. Am I the only one like that? After leg day I couldn’t walk for a week, so …. what the hell, arm day?!
After that I went and got my hair done! To be honest, it doesn’t really look that different which is slightly disappointing, but then not really. I always want to go a lot blonder, but it just never seems to work out that way. Either way, after one full year with nothing done to my hair, I got a few inches cut off (the least amount possible) and my hair color lightened up and refreshed a bit. Plus, my stylist seems pretty cool. I wish I could continue going to my gal down in MKE, but it’s just too far of a drive and almost impossible to get in with her when I’m down there for something else.
Moving on! I actually met up with a bunch of Tone It Up ladies that live in the Green Bay / Fox Valley area for lunch at Freshii. First off, HOLY CRAP there’s healthy restaurants near(ish) to me! Granted, they’re a half hour away, but still. It was so fun meeting up and talking with a bunch of ladies that I’ve been chatting with on Instagram for months/years.
After Freshhi, I stopped at a gas station and got a shit ton of candy and a soda. Just bein’ real with you. 😉 I took a “rest” (meaning I never actually fell asleep because there were screaming children outside) and then I went back to the gym for some cardio/stretching. I had no intention of going to the gym a second time, but I was bored out of my mind. I need real-life friends. Or maybe I’ll just move near one of you cool people – who is willing to have a 5’1″ roommate? I don’t take up much room. 🙂
I didn’t sleep very well Saturday night (assuming from all the sugar) yet had to be up at 5:15 a.m. for work on Sunday. Thankfully I only worked a short-ish shift from 6:30 a.m. – noon. I even somehow got my butt over to the workout equipment and worked out after my shift!
I also started If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM -> search the hashtag on Instagram if you’re interested) Sunday! It’s an 8-week program with a coach, but I’ll write more about that tomorrow. Check back tomorrow for all that jazz.
Another thing that happened Sunday was another YouTube video of mine went live! I’ve always loved “What’s in my Purse” videos (mostly because I’m nosy), so if you’re interested in that kind of thing, check it out.
