A little bit of catching up …

Well, I’m going to do a weekend recap even though we’re already closer to this next weekend. Whoops!

Let’s start with Friday. What did I do on Friday? I wrote my favorites post, worked until 4:30 and then I’m pretty sure I went home, sat on my couch and didn’t move for the rest of the night.

That’s a lie – I had to pack. And I went to bed early. #partyanimal

Saturday morning was an early morning – seriously. I had to be to the college by 6:30 a.m. We got to the office, packed up the truck, drove to pick up the priest and stopped through for very, very, very large coffees.

After a 4.5 hour drive (and only one bathroom break – I’m getting better at long trips! I sound like a child …), we got to Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. for our football watch party. First, we ate.

Chicken Sandwich

I had some sort of chicken sandwich that wasn’t anything to write home about, but my tater tots disappeared pretty quickly.

We got to the field, sat down with the rest of the St. Norbert Community (over 100 of us were there!) and settled in to watch a pretty close game. Thankfully we came out with another win!

After the game, we hurried back to our hotel and got ready for a last-minute invite to dinner with the president of the college and some other colleagues. We had dinner at Dixie’s on Grand and it was outrageously good. I had jambalaya and some wine – you’ll have to picture it in your head because I obviously didn’t pull out my phone while having dinner with important peeps. But it was SO GOOD (and free – my favorite).

Sunday started out pretty early as well, but not too bad. We were off to the Brave New Workshop (alumni-owned comedy club) in Minneapolis for a Mass & Brunch.

The event went off without a hitch!

Story of my life ^^

After the event, we left Minneapolis for the long trek home. Didn’t help that we were listening to the Packer game for three hours of it … ๐Ÿ™

We got home around 6 p.m. and I headed straight to Qdoba to continue the horrible eating for the week and plopped myself on the couch. I did do laundry, but that’s about all that I did.

Monday was a lonnnnnnnng day for me, so this is the only picture / SnapChat I took.

I was over it.

Yesterday was the best day EVER mostly because I had the day off. ๐Ÿ™‚ It, of course, went by way too quickly as days off normally do, but I’m grateful I had one. I slept in a bit, laid around my apartment, actually put away my laundry and went to the gym.

Gym Attire

It took a LOT of preworkout to get me there, but I was at the gym from 12-1:30 ish doing some shoulder work and HIIT on the stairmaster. Then I took my time getting ready at the gym …

… and took myself to a late lunch at my favorite restaurant in the world …

Eddie Lacey (he’s a GB Packer) came in to get himself some Chipotle and smiled at me on the way out so … obviously we’re best friends.

After that I headed to Target to pick up necessities and some food (I only got what I needed – yay budgets) and then back to my couch until my sister got off of work.

I met up with my sister at Hobby Lobby to check out the Christmas stuff (I’m still not there yet with Christmas – anyone else??) and exchanged an IT Cosmetics CC Cream that did NOTHING for my face for Tarte’s Amazonian Clay at Ulta. Here’s to hoping that one can cover up my crazy acne-face that came back for no good reason.

After Ulta and HL, we headed of to Panera for dinner, then our favorite place – TJ Maxx. I only bought a $4 fake beauty blender since mine is gross. I swear those things are impossible to clean. And we wereย immature (by we, I mean, I). Whatย do you expect?

TJ Maxx

And that was my weekend through Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m back at the work grind today – full 15+ hours between both jobs, but such is life. My next couple of days aren’t super busy besides a few little things and then one of my best friends from D.C. comes in this weekend! I’m looking forward to it!!

Are you in the Christmas spirit or are you not there yet?
Anyone else’s Wednesday feel like Monday?

Thanks! $7 on Amazon for that scarf ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m the same with road trips. Even if it’s not for a bathroom, I can’t sit still that long!

Totally random, but I’ve been using tea tree oil on my face and coconut oil for a few years now. It took awhile to see a big difference, but aside from my pregnancy hormones that made me chin initially break out, it has worked wonders. A friend of mine with a lot of acne problems does an oil cleanser too. I’d look into it! I still wash my face like usual (she actually cleaned with a mixture of oils), but then I put straight tea tree oil on it at night, followed by coconut oil as a moisturizer. It helped BIG time with my face once it started working and my face has been way better over the last 2 years that I’ve been doing it. I would never make it 4 hours with coffee and only one pee stop. If I drink coffee, I stop A TON! If I drink a normal amount, I pee every 1-2 hours at least. More if I drink something like coffee. I need to buy a blanket scarf on Amazon! I saw some at Von Maur but they weren’t cheap! I think I’m going to France in December too so it just seems appropriate!

You know, I’ve used coconut oil on my face before, but then I ran out of it and never re-bought it. I’ll have to try out the tea tree oil thing. I have an appointment with my doctor next week, too. I was on Accutane for 6 months only two years ago – it shouldn’t all be coming back this quickly. Otherwise I never would’ve went through the pain of that drug!

And let’s just say on the way HOME on Sunday, we stopped three times so … ๐Ÿ™‚

I could not do one stop in 4.5 hours, especially with coffee! Looks like a fun & busy weekend though! I would definitely need an extra day off after all of that. I love that scarf! I keep seeing them on GroopDealz & want to order one! I’m not a huge scarf person unless it’s super cold. I agree about the beauty blender! I use a knock off by Real Techniques (I think..) & can never get it clean. ๐Ÿ™

Well on the way home we stopped three times so maybe that’s why. I think I was so half asleep that I didn’t even notice haha! Thank you! I got the scarf for $7 on Amazon. Granted, it took 1.5 months to ship but it was $7! I’m always freezing so scarves help me out.

    • Jessie says:

Yes, same here! Plus it doesn’t feel like Christmas. Probably because it’s weirdly “warm” ish in Wisconsin so it really doesn’t feel like it’s Christmas-time!

    • Jessie says:

I know!! That’s because I spelled it out myself! ๐Ÿ™‚ Because I’m obviously very mature.Too bad you weren’t around! I’ll be back on Dec. 11!
