My title. For real. I had a long weekend, and I swear it still feels like it’s Friday afternoon to me. 🙁 At least this is a short week, sorta. I work a lot at my part-time job. Linking up with Katie to try to make this a Marvelous Monday!
So last Thursday I wrote a post all about being single and how it sucks. After that, I ended up taking my sister to the emergency room for kidney stones. No fun for her. 🙁 Thankfully she had a cute male nurse who was able to get an IV in. And I was able to … watch. 🙂
The picture above has nothing to do with this post, just that’s what I was wearing on Thursday and I felt very Christmas-ey. I don’t know about any of you, but I have SERIOUS issues with November. It puts me in a funk every.single.year. and I don’t want to leave my bed, or talk to anyone, or go to work, or anything. It’s definitely not my normal reaction to life, so I’ve been doing everything possible to kick myself out of it. Usually Christmas stuff helps.
Friday I had the day off. I initially was supposed to be driving up to Rhinelander with some college friends for an alumni weekend, but I just couldn’t justify $90 + gas + booze + awful food into my budget. I guess I’m getting old … I’d rather budget that type of stuff for macro coaching and protein powder. I’m weird. So Friday I did a whole lot of nothing besides waking up super late, going to a bullshit dermatologist appointment (the doctor was 40 minutes late and spent four minutes in the room with me – no lie, I timed it) and then lunch with my sister. The rest of the day I spent curled up on my couch, watching YouTube and Twilight movies (never a good sign) and playing around on Instagram, where I found a bunch of these thingys.

Seriously, though. Where did this Netflix and Chill thing come from? Like, I actually enjoy sitting on the couch CHILLING and watching Netflix. No boys.
If this is me in 10 years, I will feel successful.
Saturday was another lazy day. I had some trouble sleeping, so I slept in pretty late. In fact, the only reason I woke up was because I was supposed to go give plasma, but I got all the way to the place and realized I forgot my social security card. So instead I waited for my sister to get done with work and we drove around Green Bay trying to find her food but every place was PACKED. Apparently this “widow’s weekend” crap is a big deal up here. There was more traffic than there is for football games. Not something I care about, I guess. So we went to the east side of Green Bay to get away from some of the congestion and saw the last Hunger Games movie. I love you, Peeta!
Once I got home, I spent the rest of the night decorating for Christmas. I know, I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet BUT the last two years I’ve started decorating early. It seems to be one of the only things that gets me out of the November Funk that I get into every year.
Sunday started out late again, which was glorious. Probably my favorite day of the weekend until like 7 p.m. hit and I realized I had to work both jobs the next day …
After some coffee and YouTube, I got ready and headed in to the gym. I did about a half hour of shoulders, biceps and triceps and then went to a movie-themed cycle ride. Burned almost 800 calories in less than two hours! The cycle ride was awesome, too. I was WAY more excited than I needed to be when the Harry Potter track came on. Seeings as I was the youngest one in the class, everyone looked at me like I was nuts when I screamed, “THIS IS HARRY POTTER OHMYGODI’MTHEBIGGESTHARRYPOTTERNERD” –> Story of my life.
After the workout, I braved the grocery store on a Sunday before a Packer game (dumb decision) and spent way too much money on a few things. Seriously, why is meat so expensive?! The rest of my Sunday was spent watching the Packers win (FINALLY), doing dishes, making a few things for the week to eat and doing laundry. Oh, and french braiding my hair which turned into this craziness this morning, but I was too lazy to curl or straighten it.
P.S. what is with this smirk smile I’ve been doing lately. I never smile with my teeth anymore.
And for the first time in weeks, I actually dressed up for work in something besides leggings, boots and a long top. I work another 16-hour day today and had every intention of going to the gym this morning, but that just didn’t happen. My alarm went off at 5 a.m. and I was like HELL NO.
I have an interesting week ahead of me. Work both jobs today and Wednesday, having late lunch for Thanksgiving and going to the Packers game (!!!) on Thursday and work a full 8-hour shift at the gym on Saturday. So I get a little bit of downtime, but not too much. Story of my life! Plus, I’m going to try to make it to cycle on Tuesday night, Friday night and Sunday afternoon. Think I can do it?
Also, my macro coach cut my carbs by 5 again this week. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME DURING THANKSGIVING WHEN ALL I EAT IS STUFFING?!
