November’s What’s Up Wednesday!

This What’s Up Wednesday always comes at the best time! I was trying to figure out what to write about today because my brain is just shot, and then remembered this! Actually, Megan’s blog post reminded me πŸ™‚

What we’re eating this week

Less carbs, that’s what we’re eating. >:( Ha. My coach knocked down my carbs this week for my macros and I am STRUGGLING. And I’m not counting tomorrow – sorry. I guarantee I’ll probably eat 10,000 carbs and zero protein (I don’t like turkey) and I ain’t mad about it. BUT JESSIE ANSWER THE QUESTION. Last night I had this tilapia that I lovvvvvve but there’s like a million grams of sodium in it and I feel like my mouth is still full of salt … but it’s so good.

What I’m reminiscing about

To be completely honest, I’m not really reminiscing. I’ve actually been so stuck in my head worried about the future lately, that I haven’t been sleeping. Though Timehop did remind me that a year ago I was writing about my favorite haircut and color …

What I’m loving

guinea pig christmas

This is my sister’s guinea pig, and I literally can’t even.

What we’ve been up to

Who is this “we” that these questions are referring to? This lonely gal has been just working (a lot) and sleeping (a lot) and watching (a lot) of YouTube. Same old, same old. BUT a couple weeks ago my bestie from Washington D.C. was in town, so that was pretty exciting. And I traveled to Minnesota for work earlier this month, too!

What I’m dreading

I’m dreading the cold – the freezing, freezing cold. I’m also dreading that it’s supposed to rain/snow all night tomorrow night while I’m standing OUTSIDE at the Packer game all night (I know, first world problems).

Cold OUtside

I’m also dreading the holidays/birthday season coming up with dwindling amounts of friends and no boyfriend in sight, but I whined about that the other day so I’ll stop. I’m excited for Christmas (it’s my favorite holiday), but it’s looking like it’s going to be a lot of me singing Michael Buble to my cat.

What I’m working on

Besides the normal events/gym jobs, I’m working on growing my YouTube channel and writing more on this little blog.Β Both are therapeutic and a passion to me, so it’s something I’d like to keep growing. πŸ™‚ I’m also workin’ on my fitness –Β I’m only down about 3.5 lbs in ~5 weeks, but I’m still getting used to counting macros.

What I’m excited about

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! I was driving home from the gym last night and saw a house all lit up in lights and squealed out loud. Love it. I’m hoping I can make it to the Garden of Lights this year. Source

What I’m watching/reading

I haven’t been reading (whoops), but I’m still all about that YouTube life. I’ve been really into fitness channels lately, especially those that track macros (which is like all of them).

What I’m listening to

Not Christmas music … nope. I would never break my own rule and listen to Michael Buble’s Christmas station on Pandora. I would not.

What I’m wearing

Blanket scarves, boots and leggings has literally been the only thing I’m wearing lately. That’ll change next month, though!

What I’m doing this weekend

It’s a long weekend off from my full-time job (YAY) due to Thanksgiving, but I still have to work my part-time job (BOO). Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so I’ll be going to late lunch/dinner at my aunt’s, then the Packers game. Friday I’m sleeping in (because I’m too poor for Black Friday) and going to cycle class – that’s my only plans for the day. Saturday I work at the gym from 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Sunday my only plan is a 1 p.m. cycle class. Woo! So a lot of the gym.

What I’m looking forward to next month

Christmas (duh) and it’s my sister’s birthday on the 15th, though I hope she knows I’m broke so I can’t get her anything. πŸ™ I’ll have to take her to lunch or something. I’m also excited to go to Minnesota again for work (I love travel) and looking forward to having a LOT of time off at the end of the month. We get off at my full-time job from Christmas Eve all the way until the Monday after New Years, but I still have to work the part-time job through the day after Christmas. So basically I’m looking forward to the Sunday-Sunday that I don’t have to work AT ALL. And I better not pick up any hours because I need some GD time off.

What else is new

Hmm, I’ve got in my head again that I need to move. For some reason, my current sights are set on Colorado. I really just want to move somewhere where I don’t know a ton of people and start over. I go through this at least once per year – I have location commitment issues. Plus, sorry Green Bay, but you’re just not my thing anymore.

Favorite Christmas tradition

I love going out and picking out a tree with my sister, dad and pup. Granted, I hate decorating the tree, but I lovvvvve picking it out. Another tradition I enjoy is watching A Christmas Carol with my dad and sister on Christmas Eve.

Due to work, I’ll only be able to be up in my hometown for less than 24-hours – I work 4:45 a.m. – 8 a.m. on Christmas Eve (eew) and then 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the Saturday after, so I’ll only be up north on the afternoon of Christmas Eve – Christmas morning. But that’s okay – I don’t live far away and, to be honest, I prefer my own bed. Is that bad? I’m almost 28 – I don’t want to sleep in anything besides my own bed (unless it’s a hotel bed because those are wonderful).

You should move to Las Vegas! It just so happens I’m looking for a roommate in January. We could eat Chipotle, watch YouTube videos and Netflix ALL.THE.TIME! Just give it a thought πŸ˜‰ Happy Thanksgiving Jessie!

OMG.. that guinea pig! I had one when I was in high school & I still think they are the cutest things ever! I’ve also started following Heidi on YouTube. I kind of feel like a creeper but I think it’s interesting to see what they eat & what kind of workouts they do! I think I need to get on the macro counting wagon too… as I’m staring at two bags of rolls on the table for tomorrow. I just downloaded the Lose It app too which is really awesome as far as keeping track of food! Colorado is great too! Denver is amazing if that is where you’re thinking about going. My friends love it out there (but hate the cost of living!). Or… you could move to Omaha! πŸ™‚ I’m sure you want to get out of the Midwest though which I don’t blame ya! Have a great weekend! And don’t freeze at the game tomorrow! We’re supposed to have freezing rain/sleet all day tomorrow which is going to be super fun.

Haha, don’t feel like a creeper! I follow like a hundred channels, and I don’t feel like a creep. πŸ™‚ It’s not necessarily all about being in the midwest, I just need a change of scenery. Something different. Maybe I’d hate it, maybe I wouldn’t. We’ll see though. It’s difficult getting a job out of state and I refuse to move without one! Oh, and PS the game was AWFUL. I couldn’t feel my toes for an hour after the game PLUS they lost. SO not cool.
