The last of 2015 …

Hi guys!! I hope you’ve all been enjoying your holidays so far. I’ve had a ton of time off which is amazing, but I feel like it went by so fast. Only a few days left so I’m trying to make the most of it and get 2016 off to a great start!

I’m currently sitting at Starbucks, taking up a ton of room with all my schedules, lists, workout books and challenges in hand (as well as a cookie and coffee – yum!) But first off, let’s blog!

Christmas was pretty good last week. Unfortunately the snow decided to come a week late and we had an abnormally warm/non-white Christmas this year, so I really had a hard time even realizing it was Christmas. Either way, my sister, our two cats and her guinea pig headed up to our parents’ house on Christmas Eve after we were both done with work.

Oh, also fun fact. On Christmas Eve my mouth decided to get two giant canker sores (yayyyy stress) by my throat so I’ve barely been able to eat anything except shakes and soup. Fun.

Christmas was here and gone before I knew it. I got some pretty great things, but I did a YouTube video on that if you’re interested. 🙂

I was supposed to work 8:45-1 p.m. the day after Christmas, but when I got there, there were no courts scheduled so I was only there a half hour before I went home. And that started my vacation! The first few days just included me sleeping – A LOT. (Let’s be real, I’m still sleeping a lot.)

My dad, mom and sister actually joined my phone plan with Verizon (if you watch the video, I talk about some of the goodies I got) but my dad, sister and I went to switch out my dad’s phone for a smart phone this past Monday!

OH, and I got #Girlboss for Christmas and read that in like, one night. I’m loving it.

I’ve been trying to focus on the things that I want to do with my life and instead of sitting back and hoping something will happen, I’m taking the reigns on things. I want to focus on my passions and try to find a way to incorporate them more into my life. I also am so stuck on Colorado, so that’s something that’s always on my mind, too.

But one good thing – I was able to get into Brittany Dawn’s 60-Day Challenge, so I’m SO excited about that! January is MY month, so here’s to taking it on. 🙂 It’s my birthday in January, so I’m excited for that as well. I’ve come a long way in my 27th year and while I don’t necessarily love all the changes that happened, I’m content with where things are at and I’m excited to work hard to get where I want to be.

I plan on either writing out some of my goals and/or making a video about it in the next few days, so watch out for that if you’re interested!

How were your holidays? Are you as ready for a new year as I am?

I think I’m ready for the new year. At least it feels more new year-ish than it did Christmas-ish… if that makes sense 😆 I think it’s mostly because I love the whole idea of a “fresh start,” and I’m kind of ready to say goodbye to 2015. Wishing you all the best in 2016!!

I’m actually glad that the holidays are over & we are starting a new year. Christmas just wasn’t that exciting this year for some reason which is why I’m glad it’s over with. A long vacation sounds absolutely glorious right now & I think I’d probably sleep through most of it too! Good luck with all of your goals this year! 🙂

Soooo am I and I’m totally with you on Christmas. Didn’t feel like it was the holiday this year for some reason. I did sleep through most of my vacation which is why I’m at work today like ….. are you sure I already took a vacation? Because it sure doesn’t feel like it.
