RIP Alan Rickman

I woke up with another blog post scheduled, but that baby is gonna have to wait because I am SOOOOOOOO sad.

My obsession with Harry Potter is no secret – it’s all over my social media, this blog and someday – my body (I’m getting a HP tattoo). I woke up this morning and walked into work, only to read that Alan Rickman, the 69-year-old actor that played Professor Severus Snape in Harry Potter died this morning from cancer. (Yes, I know he’s been in a bajillion other movies, but this is the one I know him from). The character I absolutely loathed until the last book/movie, who has now turned into one of my favorite characters of all time. And what an actor.

Honestly, I’ve never been one to be emotionally attached to actors, but this one hits me so hard. He was just such an amazing man and actor and it’s a sad day for the muggle and wizarding families out there in the world. Wands up.

I’m actually SO surprised at how many people have never seen the Harry Potter movies – it’s so foreign to me haha! I watch them all once every few months 😉 Way too sad to lose him. Cancer sucks.

I have been living under a rock & seriously had no idea who this guy was. Like, I’ve seen his HP character in pictures but I guess I didn’t realize who it actually was. I think the only movie I’ve seen of his is Dogma & that was years ago! It seems like there has been a lot of somewhat famous people passing away recently which is really sad. 🙁

Haha, that’s so crazy to me that so many people don’t like HP! I’m such a fan so it’s foreign to me when people haven’t seen it 🙂 Definitely sad when anyone dies …

i’m one of the few die hard harry potter fans that still isn’t a fan of Snape. i understood a lot and gained some understanding and respect for him in the 7th movie, but still eh.
Alan Rickman, on the other hand, AMAZING actor. he seriously brought the character to life and from what i’ve heard, was an amazing man too. i feel you with the news. heartbreaking <3 </3
