A Quick Milwaukee Trip | Weekend Recap

I can’t believe it’s Monday already. I feel like I say this after every weekend, but seriously. Thankfully I took today off from work, so I’ve had a late start!

Friday started off with work, per usual.

It was a pretty boring day, so I was happy when the clock hit 4:30 and I could hop out of work. I went home for a few hours before heading back out to the gym. The gym was pretty quiet, so I took some time in the steam room after my workout which TOTALLY put me to sleep and I was ready for bed when I got home.

Saturday morning I got up around 7 a.m. and headed back into the gym (#goals) to get in my chest, calves and abs workout.

I grabbed a shake from the nutrition club, talked to a coworker quick and then headed down to Milwaukee for a Tone It Up meet-up!

Spire

We took a cycling class at Spire in Milwaukee and it was pretty fun! I’ll be honest – for someone that takes true spin/cycling classes pretty often, I struggled with this class. It involved a lot of low-resistance sprints/standing/sitting/moving your hands around on the bike and even some weight-work. Don’t get me wrong – it worked up a sweat – but I personally think you could get so hurt in one of those classes. And you’re not really working out your legs when the pedals are basically moving themselves. Okay, rant over. Still fun!

After the cycle class, we headed over to Water Street Brewery for lunch and then I headed out to Trader Joes where I spent way too much money. I wasn’t quite ready to leave MKE yet (I miss it!) so I went to my friend Heather’s apartment for a few hours to hang out with her and Lauren. I ended up leaving around 6:30 because it was supposed to be super cold later that night. I drove the two hours home in crazy wind and negative temps – fun.

Sunday started out pretty chill. I ended up sleeping until almost noon, which is completely unlike me. I hung out on the couch for most of the day, trying to stay warm.

I finally convinced myself to go to the gym around 3:30 to get in a back and biceps workout + 15-minutes of HIIT.

Cookie Butter

Have you guys ever tried that? It is insanely dangerous.

I Skype with Megan for awhile (yay!) and then could not sleep. I ended up staying up until midnight before forcing myself to go to bed. Thankfully I have the day off today so I slept in again.

    Okay I’m a huge Tj’s fan and I have NEVER EVER let myself get the cookie butter! I look at it almost every single time and I just cannot buy it because I’m worried I will become obsessed and addicted and start having to eat it every day or something lol. I think I compare it to like Nutella, where if I have it…I will just start eating spoonfuls of it for no reason lol. I really don’t know why I am so weird about it though because I buy tons of other sweets from Tjs…(omg peanut butter cups!!)
