Coffee Date

I love reading these “Coffee Date” type posts, so I thought it’d be fun to do one today for the first time!

Coffee Date

If we were having coffee …
I’d tell you that I tried to do that same side fishtail braid today to my hair that’s in the picture above and it’s already fallen out twice. Apparently my hair is too “soft” today. I know, first world problems.

If we were having coffee …
I’d ask you what type of coffee you get, because I’m always interested to know. I am a baby and want coffee that doesn’t taste like “coffee” (same with alcohol – basically I just want juice) so I’m always willing to find out new ideas to try! My skinny caramel macchiato actually came from a recommendation and now I love it!

If we were having coffee …
I’d tell you that I’m absolutely loving my Brittany Dawn fitness challenge. I’d ask if you’re interested in flexible dieting or a workout program, because she’s spectacular.

If we were having coffee …
I’d probably get super hyper because, even though I drink a lot of caffeine, it still hits me like crazy.

If we were having coffee …
I’d tell you about my “event” tonight. I call it an “event”, because it’s just a quick happy hour at a local bar. Not really my favorite type of event to plan since there’s nothing to it, but that’s okay. In a couple of weeks I’m hosting a hockey event in Milwaukee, so I’m looking forward to that! And I’ll just keep dreaming of this company’s events in the meantime …ย

If we were having coffee …ย
I’d probably talk to you about my birthday this last weekend in Chicago. I’d tell you that my Ireland trip last year really ignited the travel bug in me, and then meeting my friend Julie in Chicago (who travels all over) got me wondering why I never travel. Which would then lead me to tell you …

I’M GOING TO HAWAII TO VISIT MY BEST FRIEND IN APRIL!

Hawaii

I just booked the ticket this morning – super good price and only one layover (which will be good for my fear of flying). AND I’LL BE REUNITED WITH MY MICHELLE!

Michelle

Okay, obviously too much excitement and caffeine. You’d probably be sick of me by now if we were having coffee. ๐Ÿ˜‰ What would you tell me on a coffee date?

Linking up with Amanda!ย

Thanks, lady!! I can’t wait. I’m trying to make 2016 a “year of me” in a way. I don’t want to hold myself back anymore. Obviously, I’ll stay smart about money and stuff, but I’m so sick of just sitting by myself in my apartment and claiming it’s because I’m poor! ๐Ÿ™‚ We should get coffee someday. I’ll wave to you as I fly over the west coast in April ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m so jealous!!!! I want to go to Hawaii so bad! AH WHY AM I HAVING A BABY?! I actually met up with my friends last night and we talked about taking a girls’ trip next year! We did Greece, Spain, and China together (and I have done most of my other trips with another friend), but decided since it’s so much more cost effective for us to go AND we have more flexible time off than our spouses, we should just go. So we’re thinking about Ireland, actually! I just love traveling so much! Can’t WAIT to hear about your Hawaii trip!

Oh my gosh, how cool! I’ve always wanted to go to Greece – ever since the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m sure that was amazing! OH MY GOSH IF YOU GO TO IRELAND I’M INSERTING MYSELF INTO YOUR PLANS! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m so happy you’re GOING TO HAWAII! I was just talking about wanting to go on vacation there last night! And how awesome that you got a good deal on the flight because Hawaii is NOT cheap!

I am kind of the same way with coffee.. except I don’t like hot coffee. I mean, I can do like a caramel macchiato but that’s it. I really like Starbucks’ cold brew coffee with some coconut milk. It’s delicious! I’m glad that your fitness challenge is going well too! Updates?!

I know, I’m so excited! Yeah, I found a RT flight with only one layover for $550! So crazy because most of them were like over $1000. And I don’t like hot coffee either! In fact, the barista was like, “You want an iced caramel macchiato when it’s 20 degrees out?” I was like … YEP. ๐Ÿ™‚ And that’s a great idea – I think I’ll write a post about the challenge. Plus, now I have to get bikini ready by April. Want to know a secret? I haven’t worn a swimming suit (besides in the hot tub at the gym) in almost 5 years? Because I’m that self-conscious about it? Ohhhhh man!
