Basically my title is a fast way of reading this whole post, but I’d really hope you will read the rest of my rambles. 🙂
My Friday was rough. I had my Day in the Life post up about Thursday and let me tell you, a day starting at 5:30, going until 11:30 and starting again at 5:30 did not do so well with my body. I was so tired and then I got to work only to have a super passive aggressive coworker on my hands which was just not something I was ready to deal with. One of the non-perks of my job, that’s for sure. I kept to myself as much as possible, but unfortunately I was super cranky by the end of the day due to the negative energy all over my office. I was definitely ready to leave by 4:30.
BUT on the bright side, I got a lot done for my travel schedule with the president, so it worked out in my favor!
I basically ran out of the building at 4:30 and headed home to grab my stuff and feed Oliver. My sister “won” or was given tickets by her employer to Tundra Lodge (a water park hotel in Green Bay) and for some reason she likes me enough that she asked me to go with her. We met at TL, left to get some food (Qdoba treat meal for me, Noodles for her) and went back to the hotel to eat it. Counting macros went out the window earlier in the day due to my stressful day, so a treat meal kind of turned into a treat afternoon/evening. Whoops.
Of course, I didn’t plan well and having a giant, sodium- filled treat meal before going into a WATER PARK after not wearing a swimming suit in public for five years was quite the treat on my self confidence. BUT I did it – I walked around the park in a bikini and only felt slightly self conscious. Slowly but surely, I’m getting there. We only spent about an hour in the water park, though. Lottttts of hicks in those hot tubs. Few too many for me.
We spent the rest of the evening exploring our room (we had bunk beds, which were way too much fun), having some ice cream and doing some face masks.
See me waving from the top of the bunk bed? 😉
We actually ended up deciding to go home to our respective apartments at around 10 p.m. In our defense, it was SO loud (pounding feet, screaming little kids, etc.), the beds were SO uncomfortable and the pull-out couch was even worse. Since we both live 10-15 minutes away, we decided to just go home. I felt bad since my sister got the tickets, but at least they were free? And we did have a fun girls’ night which put me in a much better mood!
I basically crashed when I went home and didn’t wake up until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. 11.5 hours of sleep felt AMAZING after my rough Friday!
Once I got up, I transferred myself to my couch and watched a few hours of YouTube videos. I mean, I did get up a few times to feed myself and clean up random things, but for the most part I just sat on my butt! At around 3:30 I headed into the gym to get in my back and biceps workout, plus 12-minutes of HIIT on the stair master and some stretching/foam rolling at the end which ended up being a long stretch session because I was distracted (I don’t know where all of these cute new men are coming from, but I’d like them to keep on coming to the gym, please). Rough workout, though – 100 reps of bicep curls at the end. OUCH. I ended up having to stop after 10 each time (and only used 10 lb. dumbbells) but my arms were dead by the end.
Don’t mind the messy second bedroom … Basically that has now become a place where I throw all the things I don’t want in my rooms that people see. It’s great. I feel like a hoarder.
After my workout I went up to the front desk to talk to my friend Dani that was closing for the night and I ended up staying there for an additional hour talking to her and the two maintenance guys. It was actually really fun – I miss human interaction. 😉 Dani is another single girl in the area so we decided we’re going to have to get together to hang out soon!
I finally got home around 7, fed the cat that was acting like he was dying and ate some dinner. I watched a bit more on YouTube, took a shower and just did random things around my apartment, ate my protein ice cream … and then went to bed at 9:30 #partyanimal.
Sunday started out early with a 5:40 wake-up call for work at the gym – 6:45-2! I ended up getting there closer to 6:30, but that’s okay. Rather be early than late – I’m always afraid I’ll oversleep and not get there to open the gym and everyone will be realllllly pissed. So I’m usually way too early. I spent the morning answering phones, folding towels, talking to members and writing part of this post. Oh, and doing a shit ton of work for my full-time job. Honestly, my boss got 15 event invites from me. Whoopsie … (P.S. does that mean I don’t have to work today – Monday?)
Our pro shop apparel was on super sale, too, so I got two ALO tank tops for $15 each, plus my discount. And when I went to take a picture of the back (because that’s the cool part – the front is just plain) I noticed that I can see muscle definition. What is THAT?!
After work, I headed over to Target to pick up a few things for the week and then headed home to prep some food. I cleaned up, did the dishes and two loads of laundry. SO productive! And then I didn’t move from the couch all night.
And back up at 5:30 this morning for hamstrings, calves and all the rest of everything. Basically the end of my workout was 100 hip thrusters with the barbell (ouch) and 100 calf raises on the leg press at 100# (ouch ouch). I’m also currently HELLA sore from my back and biceps workout on Saturday night. So, I’m tired and I’m not really sure how today is going to go. But THE BACHELOR tonight! Wooooo, bad TV. And everyone that works upstairs with me at the house I work at is out today, so it’s just me up here. Parttttty.
What did you do this weekend?
