Monday After Vacation

Guys, I am T-I-R-E-D.

Like, two hours of sleep tired. 🙁 It’s going to be a rough Monday … so let’s talk about the weekend!

I’ll be writing up my recap post about Hawaii soon, but we’ll start off with this past Friday.


Friday was a struggle, but thankfully I didn’t have to work. I was up until almost 3 a.m. (hey, jet lag!) that morning, so I slept in until 1 p.m. I did force myself to go to the gym, so that helped wake me up a bit. The rest of the day revolved around Target, Chipotle and watching YouTube videos. I lead an exciting life.

Saturday was pretty similar. I woke up super late and made myself lunch.


My sister was at work then at school, so I just roamed around my apartment (meaning, I sat my ass on the couch) until I forced myself to go to the gym around 3 p.m. I always feel better after I workout! Plus, I’m loving this song.

Dangerous Woman I’ve probably listened to this song 100 times this weekend – no lie.

After working out, I ran home, grabbed my swimming suit and went BACK to the gym to enjoy the hot tub for awhile. Then I went home, ate again (same thing I had for lunch) and then off to drinks with a friend I went.

Sunday I woke up late again (imagine that) and went to lunch with my sister at HuHot.


Afterwards we headed to Walmart quick for some things Jenny needed to pick up and then guess what I did?

😛 No, went to the gym! I was there for forever, but I felt SO much better. My brain has been all over the place this weekend, so hitting the iron hard has been helpful. I also spent some much needed time in the hot tub again and then went home and ate Qdoba.

But then, Sunday night struck and I could not sleep for the life of me. The last time I remember looking at the clock was 3 a.m., and then I woke up around 5 not being able to sleep. Red, puffy eyes are on the docket today.


But one GOOD thing about this weekend? This happened.

weight loss

I hit my goal weight – after three years of trying to get there. HOLY CRAP. And someone I did it because I came back 5 lbs lighter from Hawaii. Must be the warm weather + active lifestyle (cuz we all know Wisco definitely isn’t active).

    Other than the jet lag & not being able to sleep last night, sounds like a pretty good weekend to unwind from your trip! I always feel so much better after working out no matter how bad I don’t want to be at the gym. Hopefully you’re able to crash tonight & tomorrow isn’t too rough (the next day always seems to be worse than the day after only getting a few hours of sleep, for me anyway). That’s so exciting about your goal weight! Whoop whoop! Haha. Can’t wait for your Hawaii recap!
