Father’s Day Gift Ideas

This post was sponsored by the wonderful people over at UncommonGoods, but all opinions are my own.

So, I don’t know about all of you, but buying gifts for men can be one of the most difficult and stressful things to do. Just me? It takes me forever to try to figure out what to get them and if you ask them what they want? No help. Insert eye roll here …

Thankfully I don’t have a boyfriend right now (though I’m not sure how thankful I am about that), but my dad can be just as difficult and Father’s Day is just around the corner. I thought that going to Ireland for 10-days was a good enough Father’s Day/ Birthday/ Christmas present for the rest of forever, but apparently that’s not how it works. 😉 Normally I get my dad fun socks or pajama pants or a wallet, but I wanted to switch it up a bit this year.

My dad is a random guy. Where do you think I get it from? He works hard at his job and then comes home to work hard at the house. He likes beer, dogs, the country, woodworking, cars, the guitar … basically everything I know nothing about (minus the dog part). I’ve exhausted the dog pajama pants and bottles of beer (seriously … every holiday … sorry, Dad!) so I was pretty pumped to go hunting on Uncommongoods.com – there are SO many things!

Have a wedding coming up and don’t know what to get the guys? You can find gifts that would work best for groomsmen. Birthday? Find a personalized gift. Just looking for something fun for a man in your life? They’ve got that, too. Or just go on there and treat yourself, because you know I’m all about that life.

It’s super easy to search on there, plus they have categories that help you out. Have you guys ever looked through this website? I found so much good stuff! Plus, I think it’s so inspiring that they truly interested in sustainability. Multiple things that I bought were pieces that were reused and turned into something new, which I know my dad will love, too. And according to their mission, their goal  “is to sell no product that harms humans or animals” and I’m all about that life.

I got the items in the mail yesterday and I’m so excited!

They’re random, but so is my dad and me so let me explain.

Spark Plug Plane Paperweight
Oh, yes I did. Okay, maybe I’m a little into planes lately (we’ll talk about that another time) but my dad LOVES fun things like this, plus the spark plug … cars … cars have spark plugs, right? I’M KIDDING ……….

Beer Pop Poster
How cool is this for someone that really likes beer? This talks about 89 different varieties of beer and even what to serve them in. My dad loves stuff like that, so I was pretty excited when I found this.

Re-purposed Coin Guitar Picks
So this gift has multiple thoughts behind it. My dad has had a silver dollar coin for YEARS that he’s kept in his pocket that he lost last year, so when I saw these I knew I had to get them. Plus, it even incorporates his interest in guitars! I know, I deserve the “Most Thoughtful Daughter” Award.

Face Mug
And finally, something weird because that’s how I do things. I think this mug is BOMB. He can have coffee AND cookies? Plus he can hide the cookies inside the mouth so the cats don’t steal them. I’m going to have a hard time giving this one away.

Yes, I did put those cookies in there and no, I am not sharing my cookies with Dad. He’ll have to get his own. I don’t share cookies.

Anyways, I had so much fun perusing the website and I’ve already picked out a few more things for me. I’m all about finding thoughtful gifts and I’ll definitely be using this site again. Plus, I just found a donut warming mug and I’m really excited about it?! Definitely need that.

Have you ever shopped on UncommonGoods?
What type of gift giver are you? Are you good at it or do you get stressed out like me trying to think of something thoughtful?

I’ve never heard of this website before but it looks really interesting! Especially some of the home decor stuff. I think you got some really neat gifts for your dad too! 🙂 I have a hard time shopping for gifts. I like making things for people but I always worry that they won’t like it!

I’m with you, girl! I like the site too because I like that I can find random gifts that you can’t find anywhere else.
