Hello, friends! I’m sooooo happy it’s Thursday, though I have to work both jobs today so it’s going to be a long one. Tomorrow is my first day of flex summer hours, so I get to leave at noon. WOOHOO! I’m also very excited to have the entire weekend off from both jobs, which rarely happens.
This week has been really great so far. It’s been pretty slow at work, but the weather is amazing and I’ve been working out every morning so I feel pretty awesome. Plus, I’m already done shopping for Father’s Day, so that’s helpful. 🙂
I went and saw Neighbors 2 with my sister on Monday, which was THE BEST. I mean, it’s not award-winning, but #ZefronDancingWithoutAShirt 🙂
We also had some awesome naughty food on Monday at Chilis, which was much needed (not really, but we’ll pretend).
Plus, I got a WHOLE lot of Facetime in with my favorite Hawaii-boy. Who wouldn’t want to talk to someone that constantly puts a smile on your face, know what I mean? 🙂
The rest of the week has been pretty low-key – just lots of workouts. I did put up a vlog last night if you’re interested in seeing the video format of what I did this past weekend!
Isn’t it amazing how great you feel when you get up every day with the intention to make it a good one, not let anyone or anything negative get you down and be grateful for the supportive and wonderful people/things that you DO have? Every morning I’ve been waking up and I make myself come up with at least five things that I’m grateful for while I’m driving to the gym. Granted, some days I can barely think of one and have to force four more (“I’m grateful that I’m alive” is usually a good one if you can’t think of anything better – puts things in perspective), but then other days I easily can get out five things. It makes for a good day!
Speaking of perspective, one negative about the week is that there was a murder in our small little town. Murders are never happy, but unfortunately it was a girl that I used to work with in college who was one of the sweetest, most beautiful souls I’ve ever met and now her life with her three babies was cut short because of a senseless act. If you’re of the praying sort, I’m sure her family would appreciate the thoughts right now.
And here’s a cute picture of my sister’s cat and me 🙂
