First June Weekend!

Every time. EVERY TIME. Monday keeps on comin’. I mean, I’m happy to be alive obviously, but I wouldn’t mind a much longer weekend. Can someone work on that, please?

Friday started off with a workout and then I headed into work. I wore jeans for the first time in forever, so I figured that needed to be documented.

June Weekend Recap

It was a really quiet week for me at the office because everyone was either on vacation or out for health reasons. My boss texted me at noon and told me to go home for the day, so that was VERY exciting.

I did some errands and hung out at home for the rest of the day until my sister got done with work. We headed over to Red Robin to eat and get a drink.

June Weekend Recap

After dinner, we headed home. I ended up drinking an entire bottle of wine by myself and watching Finding Nemo. Definitely made for some interesting Friday night conversations.

Saturday morning I woke up (somehow not dead) and headed to yoga with a friend. And imagine that – it included drinks! Yoga + mimosas is definitely not a bad way to start out Saturday.

June Weekend Recap

After yoga, I went and hung out on my couch (my sister was gone) until Tim (a colleague of mine from the work / friend? I think? ha!) got done with his lessons. We headed over to a Chinese buffet, which definitely just made me feel like garbage.

Once that was over, I headed to the theater to watch Me Before You – I lovvvvvvvved the book when I read it a few years ago, so I needed to see the movie. Even though I was the youngest one in the crowd by about 40 years at least, it was such a good movie. I’m glad I sat in the back row by myself, though, because I was straight up sobbing at a couple of points.

Sunday I slept in a bit until I got a text from my friend Dani asking if I wanted to do brunch with her. I got up, got ready and facetimed with Dave for a little while before meeting her at a restaurant here in town. After gabbing about our weekends for awhile, I headed to the gym to get in a glutes and hamstrings workout and hobbled out of there about an hour later.

I got home and coerced my sister into going for a walk with me, then to get some groceries. We ended up going back to Target a bit later to get some face masks, but only my Snapchat fam saw that (justjessie23 *AHEM).

The rest of the night I spent doing laundry and whining about the weekend being over. I had a lot of help.

And then I went to bed! How exciting. 😉

This morning started off early with a workout – I wanted to wear this outfit, but my confidence just wasn’t high enough to wear my hot pink pants AND a crop top … so I ended up changing my shirt. 🙂

June Weekend Recap

And now I’m at work! This is going to be an INSANE week for me. I work both jobs tomorrow and Wednesday, then I have to work a full day on Thursday + have an event in Madison, Wis. at night. I will have a half day on Friday (thank GOD) and then I work 6:30 a.m. – 3 on Sunday. I’m already tired just thinking about it.

How was your weekend?

Linking up with Katie.

At least you get a head start on the weekend with your half day Fridays! 🙂 But yes, Monday always comes around way too fast. Yoga + mimosas sounds so fun! Minus the rain, of course. I don’t even know if we have anything like that around here. Looks like a pretty good weekend! And I need to see this Me Before You movie since I keep hearing about it (but I’ve never read the book so maybe I should do that first).

You can definitely see it without reading the book. To be honest, you might like it more because then you won’t know the ending. But bring tissues – omg the tears.
