Thursday Thoughts

Happy Thursday, friends! For many I think this is a Friday if you took off for the weekend. Unfortunately, I work a full day today (both jobs) and tomorrow. Boooooooo. But moving on to some thoughts I’ve been having! (P.S. Sorry for the shorter posts / lack … my wrist kills when I type which is making blogging and working difficult)

… I lovvvvvve TJ Maxx. I think ya’ll already know that, but seriously. It’s the only place I really get any clothes. Granted if I was closer to Forever 21, I’d probably shop there, too, but my TJ Maxx is pretty awesome. This entire outfit is from there ($35 wedges, $15 dress).

P.S. GIRL, I took this picture right after I ate a huge lunch so I am sucking in that tummy like WHOA.

… Working out has been a chore since Monday and my doctor has officially told me I have a sprain and I cannot pick up weights (which I’m pouting about, even though I couldn’t possibly grasp a weight if I tried). So I did leg machines yesterday (I think I’m so funny) …

and I did cardio this morning. Boring! But I want this wrist thing to heal ASAP so I’m trying to take care of it. And fun fact: they don’t make very fashionable wrist braces. I need to get some sequins or something to spice this baby up.

Thursday Thoughts

… My sister and I went to the Farmer’s Market last night and then had dinner on a patio. So fun! And OMG I FOUND SHAVED ICE!

Thursday Thoughts

I was very excited. I ate mine and half of my sisters. Yayyyyy. Oh, and Jenny got pretty flowers.

Thursday Thoughts

… I finally got to plan two events I’ve always wanted to do this year. The first was my Madison PaintBar event a few weeks ago and my next is on July 14 and it’s a boat cruise in Chicago. I’m up to 35 attendees which is awesome and I’m super excited! I had my review yesterday for work and I am doing really well. My boss understands that I’m struggling because there isn’t really anywhere for me to move up in this department, but he’s trying to at least get me the experience I need to move forward, which I appreciate.

… I have a new coffee obsession. It’s $3.41 (I just got one about 15 minutes ago, that’s why I know that) which is way better than my normal $4.50 drink at Starbs. I still need to cut it out, though.

Thursday Thoughts

It’s a grande cold brew with two pumps of sugar free caramel, two pumps of sugar free vanilla and two splenda. I know, I know. A lot of chemicals, but it’s like, 2 carbs (if you even track that) and it’s cheaper than my normal skinny caramel macchiato. And it’s really good! I don’t like the taste of coffee straight, so it’s sweet enough for me. I recommend it, even though I sound like a diva when I order it.

… I have a long day today – working 8-4:30 at the college and then 5-10 at the tennis courts, but I need to study for NASM anyway so I’m hoping I have time tonight at work. My weekend is looking pretty boring – I don’t have any plans for the 4th, plus my sister is going up north. 🙁 I’m sure I’ll study and watch a ton of Gossip Girl. And next week I’ll be taking a quick trip so I’m off Monday (for the 4th), off Tuesday/Wednesday for a trip which maybe I’ll tell you about later and then work Thursday and part of Friday before I leave for Milwaukee to see my loves, Saige and Heather. I’m so excited! Just gotta get through today and tomorrow of work! Off to start my day!

Do you have a Starbs drink?
Any other Maxxinistas out there? Where do you shop?

Linking up with Amanda!

I’m so glad you were seen re; your wrist, at least you know and can let it heal……painful as not typing or lifting wts must be:)
I use that leg machine at my gym, the abductor deal, ha. I’m glad it’ faces the window too, no need for strangers to watch that lol!
We have Dunn Bros. coffee in MN, my fav coffee place, I don’t love Caribou and Starbucks is so-so. I usually make coffee at home, to save $$$:) We don’t have wknd plans yet, hope that changes ha!

I’ve never been to Dunn Bros, but I’ve heard great things! I need to start making my own coffee. It’s ridiculous!

Your new TJ Max outfit is super cute! I’m sorry you hurt your wrist though, that isn’t fun at all. I hope you heal quickly (:

That sucks about your wrist.. 🙁 Hopefully it heals fast! At least you aren’t completely banished from working out & can still do legs, haha. That machine is so weird but I know my legs need it! Boat cruise on the lake?! I loved the one that we went on despite the cold. I’m sure it will be way nicer when you go! And that’s awesome that you are getting to do more things/experience. That should definitely help with finding something new! I don’t get Starbucks too often but when I do, I normally get an iced coffee with sugar free vanilla syrup & then add some half & half (yes, bad stuff.. but 0 carbs). I think I need to go to TJ Maxx this weekend now too!

You’re right! My arms are pretty toned-looking as it is, so maybe this will give me the push to really push my legs. Though I can’t really do barbell hip thrusts or barbell squats or any type of deadlift because I can’t hold anything. =/ BUT I could do hip thrusts with a kettlebell or a band or something. Or just a hell of a lot of glute kick backs, the “Hello Kitty” machines and leg presses. 😉 I don’t know why I just thought out loud while replying to your comment but ……. 🙂

I tried the vanilla sweet cream cold press at bucks for my flight on thursday. I didn’t love it though, I’m a fan of caribou cold press, but starbucks beans are too roasted for me.

I love tjmaxx too! I like their clothes in the junior department, and sometimes they have cute shoes. I also like to shop at old navy.
