Weekend Recap!

Happy Monday … wooooooooo

I’ll start my recap with Thursday since I had an event that day in Chicago. I ended up having a WONDERFUL event on the Chicago Architectural Boat Cruise on Thursday night. The weather was beautiful and we had some awesome company.

Chicago Architectural Boat Cruise

After my event, a few of us went for dinner and then my colleague and I headed to a northern suburb to our hotel. If you follow me on Snapchat (WHY AREN’T YOU), you would’ve been lucky enough to see a hotel room tour from my loopy, tired self. πŸ˜‰ I basically did that room tour, changed and passed out in a pillow fort on my king size bed.

Friday started out pretty early. We got our rental car all packed up and then headed to Beaver Dam to drop my coworker off and then I drove the rest of the way to Green Bay. I had SO many emails, but I was supposed to have a half day, so I tried to ignore my phone.

Weekend Recap

I wasn’t feeling very well, so I ended up hanging out on the couch for the rest of the day/night.

Saturday I slept in a bit and then headed to Starbucks to study for NASM a bit. Then off to the gym for a lower body workout and I went HARD. I feel like my workouts have been so mediocre the past few weeks due to injury upon injury, so I probably went a little too hard.

After the gym/showering, my sister and I headed to see Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and I thought it was SO funny! Granted, I’m absolutely obsessed with Zac Efron, but still. I recommend it. We headed over to Regatta for dinner (it’s restaurant week here) and I wasn’t very impressed. I was in a bit of a funk on Saturday night, so after dinner I hung out on the couch and tried not to let my brain get the best of me.

Sunday I woke up in a much better mood! I headed to the gym and did 45-minutes of cardio between the stairmaster and the treadmill.

Weekend Recap

After my workout, I headed to Starbucks again to study for NASM.

Weekend Recap

As I was leaving, a guy started chatting with me about NASM (he saw me studying) and told me that I definitely looked the part (of a personal trainer) so that made me feel pretty awesome about myself. You know, until I walked out of Starbucks and slammed my ankle in my car door. #MyLife

Once I got home, I took a shower and got ready to get margaritas and tacos with a friend at Vintage Cantina (honestly, if you’re looking for a restaurant in Green Bay, it’s one of the few good ones in my opinion).

Weekend Recap

Such a fun time catching up!

I got home and challenged my sister to three games of Aggravation. We used to LOVE this game growing up and I won … OBVIOUSLY.

Weekend Recap

The rest of the night I watched some YouTube videos and then went to sleep. My alarm went off at 5:30 a.m. today and it just was NOT happening, so I slept in and skipped the gym. I have not been able to get up in the morning lately, which sucks.

Weekend Recap

So, here we are! I have about 95 emails to respond to (because apparently if I’m out of the office for two days, no one can figure anything out). I have a busy week ahead, so I’m ready for this weekend! I work both jobs on Tuesday, have a coaching call on Wednesday, work both jobs on Thursday and then get to see my love, Amy! She’s coming in from Washington D.C. so we’re going to run off to Madison to spend some time with Lindsay on Friday and then off to a wedding on Saturday. Should be fun!

Linking up with Katie!

How was your weekend?

Haha not creepy at all!! I’ll actually be back on Sept. 1 and will be there a tiny bit longer. I’ll keep you posted!

The boat tour was probably my favorite part of Chicago! Except it was SO cold & windy so I’d definitely like to go again when the weather is nicer! We just did the sunset cruise but definitely need to check out the architecture one. I feel ya on not being able to get up the mornings! I don’t know what it is but I’ve been cutting it super close in the mornings which is a bad habit! πŸ™
Megan recently posted…I might be jinxing myself but we found a house! And other ramblings of my anxiety about buying it.My Profile

Ahhh, see we had perfect weather, but we did talk about how awful it would’ve been if it was cold or raining! Mornings are killing me lately! I’ve had multiple people tell me they’re dealing with the same issue, so we’re not the only ones!
