My “weekend” started out on Thursday of last week. I was up and ready to go up north to my cousin’s car shop at 7 a.m. I sat around his shop for about an hour before he told me it was going to take a few more hours, so I should take my dad’s car (it was also at the shop being fixed) home for a few hours. My parents live about 25-minutes away, so I hung out with the pups for a few hours.
My car didn’t end up being done until the afternoon, so any hopes of going back into work were gone. So, I flushed $200 + a vacation day down the toilet for my car, AND found out I need to save up $400 before winter because there’s a bigger issue with my car that they’ll have to fix soon. Cars … they’re the worst.
I got back to my apartment just in time to get ready to work my part-time job. I was there until about 8 p.m. and then Amy came into town from Washington D.C at 9:30!
On Friday, Amy and I slept in a little bit before heading out to bum around Green Bay for a bit.
We went to lunch at Kroll’s which was an experience in and of itself. After Kroll’s, we headed to Lambeau.
Then it was off to Madison for us to meet up with Lindsay!
We went to DLux for “Sparkles & Spuds” (champagne and tater tots – all for that!) and then to Lucille’s for another drink. It was restaurant week in Madison, so we then headed over to Merchant to try out there menu. I, of course, only took one picture but basically it was SUPER good.
After dinner, we headed back to Lindsay’s place to play with the puppies for heading back downtown to go out for a bit. Fun girls night!
Sunday morning started out a little later that it should’ve, but … such is life. We got breakfast, got ready and then Amy and I headed out to Sheboygan for our friend Nicole’s wedding!
Unfortunately we hit traffic in Milwaukee AND a crazy storm on our way there, so we were a tiny bit late. Whooppppps.
The rest of the night was spent with some beautiful ladies from my “sorority” in college, with lots of wonderful food, drinks and dancing.
Sunday was a bit rough (helllllo, 28 + a couple of drinks), plus Amy left so I was super sad! I spent the day napping, doing things around my apartment and a couple of phone calls. Nothing too outrageous, which is perfect for a Sunday!
And just like that, we’re back at it on this Monday! I’ve got to get back into the swing of things with working out and eating better, so starting to get back on track today. How was your weekend?
