Weekend Recap: What’s a weekend?

Good morning! I’m back! Hello!

Fall is trying to kill me, ya’ll. (<– also, why do I say ya’ll? Born and raised norther Wisconsin girl and I still say ya’ll. Makes no sense.)

Let’s look at my “weekend”. We’ll start last Thursday since it’s been a hot minute. But if you ever want a play-by-play of my life, follow me on Snapchat – JustJessie23 πŸ™‚

So last Thursday I left work for my event at 9 a.m. We picked up one of our priests and headed down to Milwaukee <3 for a site visit at a private banking space we’ll be having another “Tango” at in December. After my site visit, we headed out to Hartland where we drove around for a bit, had a pit stop at Starbucks and then set up for my second event. (These events are called “Tom’s Last Tango”, btw.) The view wasn’t too shabby.

Chenequa Country Club

My event went very well, I met some wonderful people and caught up with some that I haven’t seen in awhile.

We didn’t get home until 10 p.m., so I went straight to bed. My alarm went off at 5 a.m., but I reset it and decided to go into the gym later. I went to work, had a super busy day and then went home. Back to the gym around 8 p.m. and it was pretty quiet!

Gym time

Saturday morning I woke up pretty early to go help at my coworker’s event on campus – required volunteerism. πŸ˜‰ Not too bad, though, the weather was great!

Unfortunately with this new FLSA regulation coming about (which I know is out there to help people like me!), this is probably the last year I’ll be able to “volunteer” for this, so I enjoyed my time.

The rest of the night was spent on the phone with friends who are smarter than me, educating me about the FLSA thing. After awhile of burnout, I got myself some Chipotle and then headed to TJ Maxx for a little me time.

All I got was that pink under armor bra in the background. πŸ˜‰

On Sunday, I slept in a tiny bit (though not very long … I hate cats) and then spent about five hours working on client social media posts and scheduling those out for the week. I also did laundry, went grocery shopping, did some meal prep … all kinds of stuff! And then I spent the night watching the Packers lose. Boooo.

Now it’s Monday! I was up at 5 a.m. (though my body was angry) and at the gym.

Those undereye bags are real, yo.

After my workout, I went back home, made some breakfast and went to work! Typical.

For some reason this outfit makes me feel like Esmerelda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I know, it makes no sense.Β Something about the hoops …

And now off to work I go! I don’t have any events this week (hallelujah), but I do have to catch up on my social media clients, my YouTube, work my other part-time job and MAYBE blog on this little thing more than twice a week? Maybe?

How was your weekend?

The wknd was good! I went to see Bridget Jones’ Baby=fun + cute, would recommend it:) I love how you say you hate cats—reminds me that I don’t need a pet ever, except when I see a cute pic of a cat:) ugh……sleep ruin-ers is what they are!

Idk why but I catch myself wanting to say “y’all”, too! And I’m from Michigan. What’s wrong with us?! lol
Chipotle and TJ Maxx… that’s what’s up, baby!

I don’t say y’all but I wish it was more accepted to use around here, haha! What a busy weekend! I don’t know how you do it but thank goodness for an event-free week! The event on Saturday looks fun! I love old restored cars. And I spy a cat on the bed… haha.

PS – somehow you became a no-reply blogger so I can’t respond back to you via email! πŸ™

I was gone all weekend, and when i came back my computer didn’t work, but way to go on all the work! it’ll be interesting to see what kind of changes businesses make with the pay scale changes.
