Good morning, friends! And happy Friday – FINALLY.
Marette’s December Goals post inspired me to write out a few goals of my own. December always seems to fly by (even though this week felt SO LONG) so I’m hoping this will help keep me on task!
- Stay present. This is a hard one for me, especially when I’m filling my time with work, job searching, blogging, vlogging, working out, etc. Last year was one of the worst Christmas seasons for me because it never “felt like Christmas.” And that’s all on me. I want to try to stay present this December and enjoy every day, even the stressful ones.
- Vlogmas. I’m planning to film myself every day up until Christmas for Vlogmas, a series that’s pretty popular on the YouTubes. I may not post a video every day (if I don’t have enough footage), but I really want to stick to it this year!
- Stay on track. As some of you know if you follow me on Snapchat (justjessie23) I’m trying to get down ~8 lbs (currently 9 – thanks, body) by my birthday at the end of January. I made a bet with myself (and my boyfriend, who will unfortunately hold me to it UGH) that if I don’t get there, I have to run a 5k, which to me is like making me burn myself slowly in the eye with a hot iron. (dramatic much?) I hate running! So with that, I’d like to stay on track with 5-6 workouts per week and stay on track with my food. HOWEVER, I do not plan on being SO strict that I can’t have fun through the holidays. Plus, I’ll be traveling a bunch for work and to be in Chicago, so we’ll see how I do.
- Not be so hard on myself. Job searching sucks, guys. So does struggling losing weight. Or having difficulties with things in my personal life. Or getting sick. Or figuring out wtf to get your new boyfriend for Christmas (HELP). I am so hard on myself sometimes and I need to be better about giving myself a break.
