And it’s Monday again! Time to go with the weekend recap. I did try to vlog a bit this weekend, but I’m not sure I got much footage so we’ll see. 🙂
Friday I worked from home. I had a few conference calls and a few Dropbox emergencies (which is how we get my “client” their work…). Thankfully my stomach was much better on Friday, so I think the flu is finally over!
After work I spent a bit cleaning up my apartment and went over to Ben’s apartment around 7:30 p.m. to eat some random stuff we got from Postmates (it was good, but I only ate about 2/3 of it) and watch Harry Potter. SUPER exciting Friday night. 😉
Saturday we woke up around 8:30 and headed to Starbucks by Ben’s gym around 10. We worked together until he had to leave for his only client at 11:30 and I met him there for our lower body workout at 12:30. We took it slow and light (#tyss haaaaa) since we both hadn’t worked out much the whole week prior due to the stomach flu.
After our workout, I went back to my apartment to cook up some lunch, shower and change.
A couple hours later I headed over to Ben’s and we watched an episode or two of a documentary before we headed out to Ben’s friend’s birthday party at a bowling alley.
I haven’t been bowling in at least five years and it was so much fun! I even got a strike – wooooo. On accident, though. I have absolutely no form.
Sunday we got up, Ben made me breakfast 🙂 and we headed to Starbucks for some serious work. I had to get a ton of work out to someone and Ben had a bunch of new client programs to write. It was so hard sitting next to the window, looking at people running around outside in the nice weather!
After Starbucks, I ran home to eat and change quick.
We headed out to a beach (Montrose Beach, I think??) to sit by the water (favorite thing #1) and watch the dogs on the dog beach (favorite thing #2). It was soooooo amazing. The weather was gorgeous, Ben and I laughed at all the dogs (and contemplated stealing some) and then we took a walk around. We were out there for a good 1.5 hours or so, and it was so relaxing. I felt SO happy afterwards.
After the beach, we headed over to Cone for a pre-dinner ice cream snack.
Ben had Cookie Monster (the blue one, which turned his lips bright blue which I thought was HILARIOUS) and I got Birthday Cake. Both were SO good, but so rich, so I spent the rest of the night with a bloated, pregnant-looking stomach. Yay, dairy intolerance!
Once we got back to Ben’s, he did some work and I played around on my phone. We ate quick and spent the rest of the night watching Harry Potter. Seriously, the best Sunday ever! Can’t wait for many, many more. 🙂
How was your weekend?
