My book reading/listening has slowed a bit since I left my job with the CRAZY commute, but I’m still trying to stay on board!. Here are the books I read in May (and take a look what I read last month!)
- “The Universe Has Your Back” by Gabrielle Bernstein
I really liked listening to this book. I don’t think it’s my favorite book I’ve ever read, but I loved learning how Gabbie chooses love over anything else. It actually reminded me a lot of “Mastering Your Mean Girl” which I read in April.
I will be honest, though. I actually don’t remember most of this book. Granted, I read it just over a month ago now, but when I sat down to write this, I had to really think back on it. Definitely not a book that I can recite (Like “You Are A Badass”) but was still good!
- “I Was Told There’d Be Cake” by Sloane Crosley
This was very different than the other books I’ve read so far, so it was a breath of fresh air. It was a bunch of essays that Sloane wrote from her life – some were funny, some were kind of weird. It was a fun break. Again, not my favorite book, but a nice transition away from self-help … even though I’m hopping right back into that arena haha!
I actually started “You Are A Badass At Making Money” and I’m loving it so far. I’m not finished yet, though, so it’ll be a part of next month’s wrap-up.
What have you been reading? Have you read either of these books?
