Weekend Recap: Straight Chillin’

And just like that, it’s Monday! Well, actually as I write this it’s Sunday night and I’m watching the Vikings lose (YAY – sorry, friends. I’m a Packer fan … I can’t cheer for them!)

I decided to work from home on Friday hoping I’d get a bunch of work done … boy was I wrong. Basically I spent half the morning trying to get a hold of my boss and all of a sudden it was 1 pm and I still hadn’t gotten to work on my 2018 planning doc, which is the whole reason I needed to work from home. Thankfully I was able to put some time into it during the afternoon, but then I just got frustrated and ended up scheduling a meeting with a coworker on Monday to help me a bit. Being a team of one, especially when no one else on the team has a background in social media, can be quite difficult!

One fun thing about the day was going out to the ‘burbs to watch Ben play hockey and hang out with his dad. Nice end to the night! I can’t wait until I can WFH every day – I get so much more done and I’m in SUCH a better mood!

I did vlog my entire day, so if you’re interested, check it out here!

I slept in until about 7:45 on Saturday before Ben went to work. I got up, hung out with Cora and slowly got ready. I met up with my friend Amanda for coffee/chat time around 11 and got home around 1. Once home, we didn’t move the rest of the day. Instead we started Psych (which I’ve never seen) and hung out with Cora. Ben did make me a mimosa at the end of the night, which was fun.

Sunday I slept a bit longer than usual, but it was MUCH needed. Ben got up much earlier than me to do some fantasy football and donut work stuff, so it was a pretty chill morning. We left around 11 to walk to Chipotle and then head on over to the theater to see Star Wars, which for someone that doesn’t really watch SW, I really enjoyed it.

After Star Wars, we stopped at Shake Shack to get a shake (#weddingdiet is going well…) before walking back to Ben’s car and going home. The rest of the day was spent watching football, cleaning and finishing up some work.

P.S. who thinks I should get this dress for my engagement party? I really don’t want to spend $50 but I want to look and feel pretty, and currently none of my dresses that I own fit me.

Weekend Recap: Straight Chillin'

And that was my pretty boring weekend, which is exactly what we needed. I’m currently dealing with the Sunday blues, which have been coming around a lot more recently. We’ll be in Florida a week from today!

How was your weekend?

Also, I’m thinking about setting up a new website for myself in the next couple of months – this one seems outdated. Do you think I could use a refresh?

Seeing as its not “just” you anymore, I can see why a rebrand would be nice. I would think about it carefully, because i had a friend who rebranded, and then she just did it again (which that part felt a little annoying) but whatever works for you!

No, I think I’ll keep Just Jessie! That has a different meaning to me. I just mean the “design” seems outdated! Just a prettier site that’s more user-friendly.
