Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend?
This past weekend was a good one! After a stressful week for me at work, I was happy for the weekend to come. I honestly didn’t do much on Friday after work besides watching some TV and hanging out with my little fam. (If you’d rather watch the video, scroll to the bottom!)
I slept in a bit on Saturday, so when I got up I played with Cora and did some cleaning while Ben was at work. When he got home, we took off for the suburbs to let Cora burn off some energy while we sat outside in the nice weather.
We got back pretty late on Saturday night, so we watched a quick show on Netflix before heading to bed.
I slept in a bit again on Sunday (AKA 7:30) before Ben and I got ready to go to brunch at Wheat’s End in the city. Everything at the restaurant is 100% gluten free and celiac friendly. It was so exciting to go to a place where I didn’t have to worry about cross contamination at all.
Ben and I shared a cinnamon roll before we got the rest of our food. Ben got biscuits and gravy and I got their weekend special of spicy breaded chicken & waffles. SO GOOD!
Then we headed back to our favorite little coffee shop to get some work done. Once we got home, we had TONS of wedding registry gifts waiting for us (random!) and we just got some work done for the rest of the afternoon. We ended the night with some Queer Eye and went to bed early.
And, if you’d like, you can watch our weekend here on our channel!
Come hang out with us for the weekend! We had just a chill weekend at home and in the suburbs of Chicago, including some time outside in the beautiful weather and hitting up the all gluten-free restaurant, Wheat’s End! Hi – we’re Jessie & Ben!
What did you do this weekend?
